Bogaerts (wrist) remains out of the lineup for the first game of Wednesday's doubleheader with the Blue Jays, Christopher Smith of The Springfield Republican reports.
Before Tuesday's contest was postponed due to inclement weather, Bogaerts was on track to miss a second consecutive game due to a sore left wrist, but manager Alex Cora indicated the star shortstop would be ready to play Wednesday. That evidently won't be the case for the first game of the twin bill, though it's possible that the Red Sox could be saving Bogaerts for the nightcap. Enrique Hernandez will cover shortstop in place of Bogaerts in Game 1.
