Steer was removed from Wednesday's lineup against the Red Sox due to an eye infection, C. Trent Rosecrans of The Athletic reports.
Steer was scratched from the lineup a few hours prior to the start of Wednesday's game, but it's possible that he'll be available off the bench. The 24-year-old should be considered day-to-day for now.
