The Rockies and Freeman avoided arbitration by agreeing to a one-year contract Thursday.
The financial particulars of the deal aren't clear, but Freeman will get a raise in his first year of arbitration eligibility. Freeman had a nice first season in Colorado, slashing .281/.354/.361 with two homers and 18 steals over 110 games. He should play regularly in 2026, possibly bouncing around to multiple positions.
