Rockies' Tyler Freeman: Goes on concussion injured list
The Rockies placed Freeman on the 7-day concussion injured list Tuesday.
Freeman had to be removed from Saturday's game against the Brewers after being hit on the helmet by a 98-mph Jacob Misiorowski offering, and he wound up with a concussion as a result of the incident. As is the case with any concussion, there's an element of uncertainty as to how much time Freeman will miss.

Rockies' Tyler Freeman: Leaves game after HBP in helmet
Freeman was removed from Saturday's game against the Brewers in the bottom of the sixth inning after he was hit by a pitch in the helmet, Kelsey Wingert-Linch of AT&T SportsNet Rocky Mountain reports.
Freeman was hit in the side of the helmet with a 98 mph cutter from Jacob Misiorowski, who was visibly upset that the pitch got away from him. Freeman was able to walk off the field under his own power. Prior to leaving, he was 0-for-2 at the plate with the hit-by-pitch. Sterlin Thompson came on to pinch run for Freeman.

Rockies' Tyler Freeman: Homers in loss
Freeman went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Wednesday's 11-4 loss to the Angels.
Freeman has hit safely in his last eight games, going 11-for-29 (.379) in that span. The homer was his first since May 8 in Philadelphia. Freeman continues to handle most of the playing time in right field, starting there in 14 of Colorado's past 16 games. The 27-year-old is batting .277 with a .733 OPS, three homers, 17 RBI, 16 runs scored, five stolen bases and five doubles across 41 contests this season.

Freeman went 2-for-6 with a solo home run and a stolen base in Friday's 9-7 extra-innings win over the Phillies.
Getting the start in right field and batting second, Freeman took Tim Mayza deep in the seventh inning to give the Rockies a 7-2 lead, a run that proved to be crucial when the home side struck for five runs in the bottom of the eighth. Freeman has seen most of his playing time in the outfield so far, playing only four games at second base compared to 13 in right field and seven at DH, and in that role he's slashing .293/.376/.400 over 88 plate appearances with two homers, four steals, eight runs and 12 RBI.

Rockies' Tyler Freeman: Pulled early Monday
Freeman was removed before his first at-bat during Monday's game against the Dodgers, Patrick Saunders of The Denver Post reports.
Freeman drew the start in right field and was scheduled to bat fourth, but he was lifted from the game in the bottom of the first inning. It's not yet clear as to why he departed, but as Saunders pointed out, Freeman has been battling back soreness for much of the young 2026 campaign. The performance snapped a 0-for-9 stretch for Freeman over his previous three games. While he remains a part-time option in the Rockies' outfield, he's seeing the ball well. In 34 plate appearances since the beginning of April, Freeman is hitting .300 with a .682 OPS.
