Buxton is not in the lineup for Game 1 of Friday's doubleheader against the Tigers.
Buxton returned from the injured list Tuesday and went 2-for-4 with one RBI, but he now finds himself on the bench for the second straight contest. Jake Cave will start in center field and bat eighth in Game 1 for Minnesota.
