  Yelich is batting leadoff and serving as the designated hitter Monday night against the Padres, Sophia Minnaert of FanDuel Sports Network Wisconsin reports. This marks the first time this season that Yelich will get a look in the leadoff spot, resulting in Sal Frelick being bumped down to the No. 5 spot in the order. Yelich hasn't had a great month of September at the plate thus far, batting .231 with two home runs, eight RBI, one stolen base and six runs scored in 14 matchups.

Yelich opened the scoring with an RBI double to right field in the first inning, and then added his 29th homer of the season with a two-run shot to straightaway center in the fourth inning. The 33-year-old has been locked in since the start of August, batting .303/.384/.538 with seven doubles, nine homers and 30 RBI over his last 38 games.

He didn't seem to have any restrictions Tuesday, stealing his 16th base of the season and legging out his 18th double. In his last 14 games, Yelich is 16-for-48 (.333) with a 6:9 BB:K. He has an .814 OPS on the year.
