Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Friday that Hernandez will be in the lineup every day during the World Series, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports. He's starting in center field and batting sixth in Game 1. His position may change from game to game, but Hernandez should remain in the Dodgers' lineup for each of the Fall Classic games. He's slashing .303/.378/.485 with two homers this postseason and has slugged 15 home runs over 81 career playoff contests.

Hernandez will start at third base and bat sixth for Game 6 of the NLCS against the Mets on Sunday, Noah Camras of DodgersNation.com reports. With Freddie Freeman (ankle) out of the starting lineup for Game 6, Hernandez will serve at the hot corner while Max Muncy shifts to first base against Mets left-hander Sean Manaea. Through the first five games of the NLCS, Hernandez has gone 6-for-20 with two walks, one home run and three RBI.

Hernandez will start in center field and bat seventh Friday in Game 5 of the NLDS against the Padres, Kirsten Watson of Spectrum SportsNet LA reports. Hernandez went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer in Sunday's win over the Rockies. Hernandez went deep to left center in the seventh to bring the Dodgers within two runs of the Rockies. He now has two homers and five RBI in his last four games, which has accounted for all of his RBI since Aug. 27. He continues to work in a platoon at second base with Gavin Lux, but Hernandez was awarded the start Sunday at third after Max Muncy was scratched due to side soreness. If Muncy were to be held out more during the week, Hernandez could pick up a few extra starts.

Hernandez went 1-for-3 with a three-run home run in an 8-4 victory over the Marlins on Wednesday. Hernandez capped a big fourth inning for the Dodgers with a 430-foot, three-run blast. The long ball was his first over his past 16 contests, and the trio of RBI were his first runs batted in over that span. Hernandez has been working in a platoon with Gavin Lux at second base -- the former has started four of Los Angeles' past five games against southpaw starters while Lux has been getting all of the starts against right-handers.
