Judge is not in the lineup for Thursday's contest against the Rockies. Judge was pulled after six innings in his first game off the injured list Tuesday and in the eighth inning of his second game back Wednesday. He'll now sit out the series finale versus the Rockies as the Yankees ease him back into a full-time role. Jasson Dominguez will be in right field and bat third for the Bronx Bombers.

Judge went 0-for-3 with two strikeouts during the Yankees' 5-3 win over the Rockies on Tuesday. Judge was officially back in the lineup Tuesday after missing more than three months while on the IL due to a stress fracture in his ribs. He didn't have the performance he wanted in front of the home crowd, striking out in both his first and third plate appearances while flying out to center field in the fourth inning. Judge is expected to be eased back into action given his lengthy absence and lack of a rehab assignment, so he'll see some extra days off and occasionally serve as the designated hitter over the final weeks of the regular season.

Judge will start in right field and will bat third Tuesday versus the Rockies in his return to the lineup. Judge is finally back in the Yankees' lineup after missing more than three months of action with a stress fracture in his ribs. Because he's been out so long and skipped a rehab assignment, the Yankees plan to ease Judge back into an everyday role. That's expected to include early removal from games and some extra days off.

Yankees manager Aaron Boone said Tuesday on the "Talkin' Yanks" podcast by Jomboy Media that Judge will be eased back into a full-time role. Judge was activated from the 60-day injured list Monday and will return to the Yankees' lineup for Tuesday's series opener versus the Rockies. He is skipping a rehab assignment and has not played in a game since late May, so Judge will be subbed out early in some games and will get some extra days off as the Yankees ease him back into an everyday role.

The Yankees activated Judge (ribs) from the 60-day injured list Monday. Judge looks set to return to the lineup for Tuesday's series opener against the Rockies, marking the 34-year-old's first game action since May 31. He landed on the injured list five days later after being diagnosed with a stress fracture in a rib on his right side. Judge faced live pitching Monday at Yankee Stadium, and with the workout going well, New York has elected to reinstate him without sending him out on a rehab assignment beforehand. Prior to hitting the shelf, Judge slashed .248/.375/.533 with 17 home runs, five stolen bases, 38 RBI and 43 runs scored across 261 plate appearances.
