  • Schebler was reassigned to Triple-A Albuquerque on Wednesday. Schebler joined the Rockies this spring as a non-roster invitee, batting .267 while driving in two runs in 15 at-bats over eight games. The 31-year-old has struggled to produce at the big-league level over the last three seasons, slashing .129/.223/.224 over 130 at-bats.

  • Schebler signed with the Rockies as a non-roster invitee Saturday, Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reports. Any hitter who earns regular playing time at Coors Field is worth a look, though Schebler doesn't look like a favorite to do so. While he was a capable hitter early in his career, he's received just 130 major-league plate appearances over the last three seasons and has hit a miserable .129/.223/.224 in those opportunities.

  • Schebler was designated for assignment by the Angels on Saturday. Schebler's contract was selected by the Halos at the end of June, and he went 1-for-7 with a run and six strikeouts across three appearances with the big-league club. He'll now be cast off the 40-man roster as part of a move to make room for right-hander Andrew Wantz, whose contract was selected Saturday.

  • Angels' Scott Schebler: Back in big leagues
    By RotoWire

Schebler's contract was selected by the Angels on Monday, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports. Schebler spent a brief period of time on the big-league roster early in the season but accomplished very little, going 4-fro-27 with 11 strikeouts. He now owns a .128/.228/.229 slash line in 123 plate appearances at the big-league level over the last three seasons, so it's tough to see him carving out a significant role. Kean Wong was optioned in a corresponding move.
