Jimenez picked up the save in Friday's 5-3 victory over the Marlins, allowing one hit and one walk over one scoreless inning with three strikeouts. After Raisel Iglesias pitched on three consecutive days, manager Brian Snitker called upon Jimenez to lock up the win for Atlanta. The righty reliever struggled a bit to secure his 23rd career save, requiring 28 pitches to polish off the game. He now sports a 2.25 ERA with 48:17 K:BB across 44 innings this season. Jimenez appears to be the next in line for saves in the Atlanta bullpen if anything happens to Iglesias given the usage pattern in this game.

Jimenez earned a save against the Diamondbacks on Monday, allowing one walk and striking out one batter in one scoreless inning. Primary closer Raisel Iglesias worked the ninth and 10th frames, so Atlanta turned to Jimenez to close things out after the team scored in the top of the 11th. The veteran right-hander issued a one-out walk but kept Arizona off the scoreboard to earn the save. Jimenez has been one of Atlanta's top high-leverage options this season with two saves and 17 holds along with a 2.31 ERA, 0.97 WHIP and 38:14 K:BB over 35 frames. Iglesias should continue to get the vast majority of the save chances moving forward, but Jimenez appears to be among the team's top closing options when the former is unavailable or used in a different capacity.

Jimenez struck out one batter in a perfect inning to earn a save over the Tigers on Monday. Jimenez tossed 10 of 13 pitches for strikes to protect the 2-1 lead and earn his first save of the year. He dropped his season ERA to 2.89 with a 30:10 K:BB through 28 innings. Since yielding four runs in a loss to the Padres on May 20, Jimenez has given up two runs over his last 10 appearances. Raisel Iglesias allowed two runs in a loss to the Rays on Sunday and was likely getting a routine day off Monday.

Jimenez (1-1) blew his first save of the season and took the loss in the first game of Monday's doubleheader against the Padres, coughing up four runs on three hits and two walks in one inning. He failed to strike out a batter. The right-hander entered a 5-2 game in the top of the eighth inning and immediately issued a four-pitch walk to Ha-Seong Kim, setting the stage for a rare disastrous outing. Jimenez has only been charged with runs in three of his 18 appearances this season, posting a 3.50 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 18:7 K:BB over 18 innings with nine holds and a win as one of Atlanta's most reliable setup men.

Jimenez struck out two over 1.2 perfect innings Sunday to record his second hold of the season in a win over the Diamondbacks. The right-hander entered the game in the sixth inning and needed only 21 pitches (16 strikes) to carve up the heart of Arizona's order. With Raisel Iglesias unavailable after pitching two straight days, it was Pierce Johnson and not Jimenez who got the save Sunday, and the latter hasn't pitched any later than the seventh inning through his first four appearances this season. Jimenez has been sharp in his role, posting a 2.08 ERA and 4:1 K:BB through 4.1 frames, but he appears to be no higher than fourth or fifth in the packing order in the Atlanta bullpen.
