Riley will start at third base and bat cleanup in Monday's game versus the Padres. Riley is coming off a big weekend series against the Rangers, having gone 6-for-12 with three home runs. As a result, he is up in the cleanup spot for Atlanta for the first time since May 18. Riley had batted seventh in each of his last four and 13 of his last 16 starts.

Riley went 2-for-5 with a solo home run and an additional run scored in Friday's 15-1 win over the Rangers. Riley added to Atlanta's blowout victory with a solo homer in the eighth, his 10th long ball of the season. He's sitting at a .629 OPS over 390 plate appearances this season and has struck out 113 times, which is fifth-most in the National League. Perhaps Friday's performance is a sign of things to come for Riley for the second half of the regular season.

Riley went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run and an additional run scored in Saturday's 14-3 win over the Mets. Saturday was a breakout performance of sorts for the struggling third baseman, who had collected just three RBI in his prior 12 outings. Riley also ripped his first homer since May 20 and his first extra-base hit since June 16. Through 352 plate appearances, Riley is still slashing a paltry .207/.287/.338 with nine long balls, 12 doubles, 41 RBI but does have a career-high four stolen bases.

Riley went 4-for-9 with a double and an RBI across both games of Wednesday's doubleheader against the Giants. After banging out a double in the first game, a contest suspended from Tuesday due to inclement weather, Riley stayed productive with three singles in the nightcap. The veteran third baseman has yet to homer in June, however, with his power drought standing at 23 games during which he's slashed .208/.311/.286 with four RBI. Wednesday's performance was encouraging, but Riley has a long way to go to climb out of an early-season hole that has him sitting with a career-low .647 OPS and just eight long balls through 73 contests.

Riley went 3-for-3 with three singles, one walk and a run scored in Friday's 5-4 extra-innings win over the Nationals. Riley walked and scored in the seventh inning and singled in all three other trips to the plate before Jorge Mateo pinch ran for him in a 2-2 game in the bottom of the ninth. Riley ended the month of April with a .190 average and .588 OPS. He has six multi-hit games and five homers in May, raising his season slash line to .221/.292/.385 with eight homers, 31 RBI, 27 runs scored, three stolen bases and a 16:59 BB:K across 216 plate appearances.
