Duggar was signed to a minor-league contract with an invitation to spring training by the Dodgers in December. The former San Francisco bench option comes up short in his bid to make the Opening Day roster, and he'll likely begin his 2023 campaign with Triple-A Oklahoma City.

Duggar signed a minor-league contract with the Dodgers this month. Per Duggar's official player page, he signed Dec. 17. The 29-year-old outfielder spent most of his pro career to date with the Giants. He has a .236/.293/.367 career slash line in 271 MLB games.

The Angels announced Sunday that Duggar cleared waivers and elected free agency. Duggar has appeared in 29 big-league games between the Angels, Giants and Rangers this year, but he hasn't stuck around with any of the organizations. The 28-year-old has a .153/.225/.222 slash line in 80 plate appearances and has similarly struggled at Triple-A with a .600 OPS.

The 28-year-old has played in 29 games between the Angels, Giants and Rangers this season and has a .447 OPS in 80 plate appearances.

Duggar was claimed off waivers by the Angels in early August, but he hit just .053 with a triple, three runs, three walks and 13 strikeouts over nine games with the big-league club. He'll head to the minors since Mike Trout (ribs) expects to rejoin the Angels on Friday.
