  • Chisholm went 2-for-5 with two home runs and five RBI in Monday's 8-5 win over the Pirates. Chisholm's power at the plate has not been the same this season compared to previous years. However, he gave the Yankees an early 4-0 lead with a three-run homer off Braxton Ashcraft in the first inning before giving the Bronx Bombers the lead for good with a two-run blast in the third. It was the first multi-homer game of the season for Chisholm, which he did four times last year. He's up to a .726 OPS with 26 steals, 16 home runs and 43 RBI across 375 plate appearances this season.

  • Chisholm went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Game 2 of Sunday's doubleheader against the Dodgers. After going 1-for-3 with a double and a run scored in a losing effort during Sunday's matinee, Chisholm blasted a go-ahead solo homer in the eighth inning to lift the Yankees in the nightcap. The second baseman is hitting .239/.280/.435 with two homers, five RBI, seven runs and two stolen bases across 13 games in July. After a standout first full season in pinstripes in 2025, the 28-year-old has taken a step back in 2026, slashing .224/.302/.403 with 14 homers, 38 RBI, 49 runs and 26 stolen bases across 94 contests.

  • Chisholm is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game in Tampa Bay. Chisholm has just a .448 OPS with a 2:14 BB:K over his last 30 plate appearances, so he will get a day off to recalibrate. Jose Caballero is drawing a start at second base for the Yankees and will bat ninth.

  • Chisholm (toe) will start at second base and bat sixth in Monday's game versus the Rays. Chisholm was lifted from Sunday's 6-1 loss to the Twins due to right big toe discomfort, but X-rays returned negative and he won't have to miss a start. The 28-year-old enters play Monday having posted just a .433 OPS across his last 10 games.

  • Chisholm was diagnosed with right big toe discomfort after leaving Sunday's game against the Twins and having X-rays come back negative. The second baseman went 1-for-2 and was caught stealing before departing Sunday's contest prior to the sixth inning. Chisholm appears to have avoided a serious injury, so he should be considered day-to-day heading into Monday's series opener at Tampa Bay.
