Twins general manager Jeremy Zoll said that Rodriguez will play winter ball to accrue some at-bats he lost out on this season due to injuries, Matthew Leach of MLB.com reports. Rodriguez had another injury-shortened season in 2025, playing just 65 games due to thumb, hip and oblique issues. The 22-year-old remained productive when on the field, slashing .258/.429/.423 with six home runs and nine stolen bases over 212 plate appearances with Triple-A St. Paul.

Triple-A St. Paul activated Rodriguez (oblique) from its 7-day injured list Monday, Aaron Gleeman of The Athletic reports. Rodriguez has been sidelined since late July with an oblique strain, but he's returned to St. Paul's active roster following a five-game rehab stint with Single-A Fort Myers. The 22-year-old has had yet another season curtailed by injury, as he's been limited to only 56 contests because of thumb, hip and oblique problems.

Rodriguez (oblique) began a rehab assignment Wednesday with Single-A Fort Myers, going 1-for-3 with a walk. Rodriguez remains on Triple-A St. Paul's 7-day injured list, but he could rejoin the Twins' top affiliate by the weekend or early next week now that he's returned to game action in the lower levels of the minors. Before being deactivated July 18, Rodriguez slashed .254/.411/.428 with five home runs and seven stolen bases across 175 plate appearances for St. Paul.

Rodriguez left Triple-A St. Paul's 10-9 win over Iowa on Saturday in the fourth inning due to an apparent side injury, MLB.com reports. He went 1-for-2 with two RBI prior to his departure. Rodriguez returned to the St. Paul lineup Tuesday after missing more than a month of action with a right hip injury, but he's now dealing with a new health concern. He'll likely be held out through the All-Star break before St. Paul determines whether he'll require another stint on the 7-day IL.

Triple-A St. Paul reinstated Rodriguez (hip) from the 7-day injured list Tuesday. Rodriguez missed more than a month of action with a right hip injury, but he'll be back in action for St. Paul after appearing in eight rehab games between the rookie-level Florida Complex League and Single-A Fort Myers. The outfield prospect is slashing .232/.400/.392 with four home runs and six stolen bases across 39 contests this season with St. Paul.
