  • Perez is out of the lineup Wednesday for Game 4 of the ALDS versus the Mariners. Since returning from the injured list in late May, Perez had served as a near-everyday player for the Tigers through the end of the regular season and during the wild-card round series victory over the Guardians, but he's moved into a reserve role for the ALDS. With Detroit welcoming Colt Keith back from a rib injury that kept him out of the wild-card round, Perez has found himself as the odd man out of the lineup for each of the first four games of the series with Seattle. Keith will once again serve as the Tigers' designated hitter Wednesday, which will result in Kerry Carpenter displacing Perez in right field.

  • Tigers' Wenceel Perez: Goes deep in win
    By RotoWire

Perez went 1-for-3 with two walks and a solo home run in Thursday's 4-2 win over the Guardians. Perez went deep in the first inning against Cleveland starter Parker Messick, giving him 13 long balls for the season. The 25-year-old outfielder came into the contest mired in a slump, as he was batting just .079 across his previous 10 games. The Tigers will need Perez to heat up over the weekend to increase their odds at winning the AL Central.

  • Tigers' Wenceel Perez: Keeps rolling Sunday
    By RotoWire

Perez went 2-for-2 with a walk, two doubles, an RBI and a run scored in Sunday's 6-4 loss to the White Sox. Perez is now riding an eight-game hitting streak, and this was his third multi-hit performance during the hot stretch. The 25-year-old outfielder also tallied his 38th RBI of the season Sunday, giving him a new career high in the category. Perez has already established a new career best with 12 home runs this year, and his current .816 OPS would be a new high-water mark as well, giving him plenty of momentum for the fantasy stretch run.

  • Perez went 3-for-4 with a double, a run scored and two RBI in Tuesday's 12-5 loss to the Mets. Perez has started the series against New York by going 4-for-9 with a double, a home run and five RBI across two games. The 25-year-old outfielder is emerging as an effective offensive performer in his second MLB season with a .266/.323/.479 slash line across 79 contests overall, and he should continue to see regular playing time for the Tigers.
