Ramos, who is not in Sunday's lineup against the Cardinals, has a tight hamstring and has been playing through plantar fasciitis, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports. Manager Bob Melvin said that Ramos could hit Sunday or start at designated hitter, but with nothing to play for, he'll likely get the finale off. Ramos had a breakout age-24 season, slashing .269/.322/.469 with 22 home runs and six steals in 518 plate appearances.

Ramos went 4-for-5 with a solo homer and two runs scored in Tuesday's win over the Giants. Ramos belted his 22nd home run of the season in the fourth inning to extend the Giants' lead to 8-0, though it was just his second home run since Aug. 27. Tuesday's game was the first of his career with four hits and his seventh this season with at least three hits. Ramos is now slashing .270/.323/.473 with 71 RBI, 53 runs, six steals and a 36:132 BB:K in 505 plate appearances. He also currently leads the team with a .796 OPS, just ahead of Matt Chapman (.793).

Ramos went 3-for-4 with a triple, a double, a run scored and an RBI in Friday's 2-1 victory over the Royals. The 25-year-old outfielder opened the game's scoring with a RBI infield single in the first inning. Ramos later cracked a triple in the fourth and hit a double in the sixth, all off starter Michael Wacha, to notch his sixth three-hit performance this season. The All-Star is slashing .270/.325/.475 with 70 RBI and 50 runs scored in 486 plate appearances across 114 games.

Ramos is not in the lineup for Thursday's game in Baltimore. Ramos had started each of the previous 14 games but will get a breather for Thursday's afternoon tilt. The Giants are going with Michael Conforto in left field and Jerar Encarnacion at designated hitter as they try to complete the sweep.

Ramos went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's 4-3 extra-inning loss to the Padres. Ramos had gone 17 games without a homer, hitting just .172 (11-for-64) with four doubles and two stolen bases in that span. The outfielder still has a strong .267/.321/.469 slash line with 21 homers, 68 RBI, 47 runs scored and six stolen bases over 110 contests this season. That said, his performance has dipped down the stretch, though it hasn't cost him a near-everyday role for the light-hitting Giants.
