The Orioles outrighted Noda to Triple-A Norfolk on Friday, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports. Noda passed through waivers unclaimed after being booted off the 40-man roster, and he will remain in the organization. After flashing some promise in his rookie season with the Athletics in 2023, the 29-year-old Noda has slashed only .127/.262/.197 in 59 games at the big-league level the last two years.

The Orioles designated Noda for assignment Saturday. Noda was removed from Baltimore's 40-man roster to help make room for the additions of Will Robertson from Pittsburgh and Drew Romo from Colorado. Noda slashed just .106/.276/.170 over 23 MLB games between the White Sox and Orioles this past season, though he finished the Triple-A season with a .770 OPS through 291 plate appearances.

The Orioles recalled Noda from Triple-A Norfolk on Sunday, Danielle Allentuck of TheBaltimoreBanner.com reports. The 29-year-old was optioned to Norfolk after being claimed off waivers from the White Sox on Saturday, but Baltimore didn't wait long before adding him to the 26-man active roster. Noda appeared in 16 games for the White Sox earlier this season and went 3-for-34 with a 42.2 percent strikeout rate. He's played at the Triple-A level with three different organizations in 2025 and has a .194/.390/.366 slash line in 236 plate appearances.

The White Sox placed Noda on the 10-day injured list Monday with a right quadriceps strain. Noda suffered the injury during Sunday's loss in Colorado and will be sidelined at least until the start of the second half. Tristan Gray was called up from Triple-A Charlotte to replace Noda on the 26-man active roster.
