Sheets is not in the lineup for Monday's game versus the Angels, Erica Weston of Bally Sports West reports Sheets has homered in back-to-back games but nonetheless will begin Monday's contest on the bench as the Angels send lefty Reid Detmers to the bump. He's been on the bench four of the last five times the White Sox have gone up against southpaws. Bryan Ramos will be the designated hitter in this one.

Sheets went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run Sunday against the Athletics. Sheets hasn't started frequently against lefties in the last few weeks, though he was at first base and hitting fifth against southpaw JP Sears on Sunday. He proceeded to take Sears deep in the first frame to tally his second homer of the season without the handedness advantage and 10th total of the campaign. Despite the productive stretch, Sheets has just a .131 ISO and .685 OPS across 477 plate appearances.

Sheets went 2-for-3 with a solo home run in Saturday's 7-6 win over the A's. Sheets took J.T. Ginn deep in the third inning and snapped a streak of 23 games without a home run in the process. With that, Sheets recorded his first extra-base hit since Aug. 14. The 28-year-old had double-digit homers in each of his first three seasons and is now one away from reaching that mark in 2024.

Sheets is not in Friday's lineup against the Athletics. Sheets starts against some lefties, but not all, and he'll head to the bench with southpaw Brady Basso on the hill for Oakland. Bryan Ramos is picking up the start at designated hitter and leading off.

Sheets has now been out of the lineup for two straight games against lefties and has started just one of the last four contests overall.
