The Blue Jays acquired Paulino, infielder Cutter Coffey and right-hander Gilberto Batista from the Red Sox on Saturday in exchange for catcher Danny Jansen, Jen McCaffrey of The Athletic reports. Paulino has spent the 2024 season at the Double-A level, posting a .263/.349/.391 slash line with three home runs, 33 runs and 35 RBI in 278 plate appearances. The 21-year-old has played 37 games at third base, 20 at second base and 11 at shortstop this season.
