The Royals traded Wallace (oblique) and their Competitive Balance A pick to the Nationals on Saturday in exchange for reliever Hunter Harvey. Wallace has been recovering from a right oblique strain since late May, but he's appeared in seven rehab games with the Royals' Arizona Complex League affiliate. Prior to the injury, the 22-year-old was playing at Double-A Northwest Arkansas, where he slashed .282/.350/.427 with three homers across 140 plate appearances. The third baseman was the 49th overall pick in the 2022 draft.

Wallace has slashed .258/.336/.439 with nine home runs and 13 steals in 80 games for High-A Quad Cities. The 21-year-old third baseman hasn't done much to hurt or help his dynasty value this season, as he has been solid across the board, but hasn't done anything to stand out. He has a middling 24.9 percent hard-hit rate, but Wallace's 81.3 percent success rate on 16 stolen-base attempts is a positive development.
