The Giants promoted Eldridge from Double-A Richmond to Triple-A Sacramento on Friday, Kiley McDaniel of ESPN.com reports. After playing just nine games with Richmond, during which he went 10-for-37 with a homer and four RBI, Eldridge will now reach the Triple-A level after beginning the season at Single-A. The 19-year-old first baseman has slashed .293/.376/.534 with 23 home runs and 90 RBI across three minor-league levels. Depending on how well he does with Sacramento to close out the season, he could begin the 2025 campaign with the River Cats, and there's a solid chance he claims the big-league first base job at some point next year.

Eldridge was promoted from High-A Eugene to Double-A Richmond on Tuesday. Eldridge couldn't be stopped at High-A, slashing .333/.442/.615 with 12 home runs, 41 RBI, 35 runs scored and three stolen bases over 48 contests. The top prospect will close out the year with a taste of Double-A, which is where he is likely to begin in 2025. A strong campaign next year could position him for his major-league debut in the second half of 2025.
