Schanuel (leg) isn't in the Angels' lineup for Friday's game against the Rangers, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports. Schanuel will sit down for the second game in a row after exiting Wednesday's game early with a bruised right lower leg. Niko Kavadas will fill in as Los Angeles' first baseman and bat eighth Friday.

Schanuel (leg) is not in the lineup for Thursday's game against the White Sox. Schanuel departed Wednesday's contest when a foul ball off his right lower leg resulted in a painful contusion. He's considered day-to-day. Brandon Drury will fill in at first base for the Angels in Thursday's matinee.

Schanuel went 1-for-3 with a walk and a stolen base in Thursday's loss to Houston. Schanuel walked in his first trip to the plate and eventually stole third base after advancing to second on a Brandon Drury single. The first baseman would later add a single of his own to lead off the sixth, extending his hitting streak to 10 games in the process. Schanuel is batting .388 (14-for-36) over that 10-game stretch with one homer, seven RBI and three runs scored.

Schanuel (back) is starting at first base and batting third Tuesday against the Tigers, Erica Weston of Bally Sports West reports. The 22-year-old sat out the past two games due to a back issue, but he'll rejoin the starting nine following Monday's team off day. Schanuel has a .250/.360/.342 slash line with one homer and a 12:15 BB:K through 20 games in August.
