Keirsey appeared in four games during his first career stint in the majors, during which he went 1-for-10 with a strikeout and an HBP. He'll be sent back to the minors to clear space for Carlos Correa (heel), who is due to return from the injured list Saturday.

Keirsey (oblique) has been activated from the 7-day injured list at High-A Cedar Rapids, according to TwinsDaily.com. Keirsey played three games on a minor-league rehab assignment with the Twins' rookie-level Florida Complex League affiliate. He's hitting .183 with a .667 OPS at Cedar Rapids in 36 games.

Keirsey (oblique) began a rehab assignment Tuesday with the Twins' rookie-level Florida Complex League affiliate and went 1-for-3 with two runs in his first game with the team. Keirsey has been on the 7-day injured list at High-A Cedar Rapids since Aug. 12 with a right oblique strain. He's not expected to require more than a handful of games in the FCL to get his timing back at the plate before he rejoins Cedar Rapids.
