Skubal will start Game 1 of the NLCS against the Brewers on Sunday, Jack Harris of the California Post reports. Skubal was brilliant during his start in Game 1 of the NLDS against Atlanta, giving up just one earned run on two hits and two walks while striking out seven batters over six innings. He'll aim to maintain his success as he takes the mound to open the series against the Brewers, whom he gave up six runs (five earned) to over 12 innings in the regular season.

Skubal will start Game 1 of the NLDS against Atlanta on Saturday, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports. The Dodgers have an embarrassment of riches in their rotation, and they'll opt for Skubal over Yoshinobu Yamamoto in Game 1. Presumably, Yamamoto will take the ball in Game 2, with Blake Snell and Tyler Glasnow lurking. Skubal made 10 starts for the Dodgers after landing in Los Angeles at the trade deadline, logging a 2.61 ERA and 70:13 K:BB across 62 innings.

The Dodgers reinstated Skubal from the bereavement list Wednesday, Noah Camras of SI.com reports. After spending the past three days away from the team tending to personal matters, Skubal will rejoin the Dodgers a couple of days in advance of his final regular-season start Friday in San Francisco. Kyle Hurt was optioned to Triple-A in a corresponding move.

Skubal (10-7) earned the win Monday against the Reds, striking out nine while allowing three hits and one walk in seven scoreless innings. Skubal was dialed in Monday, scattering three singles across seven dominant frames. The All-Star southpaw has either logged a quality start or pitched at least five innings while yielding fewer than three runs in six consecutive outings and 13 of his last 14. He's set to finish a two-start week this weekend against the lowly Giants, sporting a 2.70 ERA, 0.95 WHIP and 173:25 K:BB over 146.2 innings.

Skubal (9-7) allowed two runs on four hits and two walks while striking out five over 7.1 innings to earn the win over the Reds on Tuesday. Skubal got back on track after allowing two runs on 10 hits and a walk over 5.2 innings against the Cardinals in his last start. He's logged quality starts in four of his last five outings, and his only damage Tuesday was an Elly De La Cruz two-run blast in the third inning. Skubal is at a 2.84 ERA, 0.97 WHIP and 164:24 K:BB over 139.2 innings through 23 starts between the Dodgers and Tigers this year. Skubal's next outing is projected to be a rematch on the road in Cincinnati next week.
