The long ball was Winn's first extra-base hit in six games, and this was also his first multi-hit effort since Sept. 1. Winn tormented the Padres' pitching staff during this week's four-game series, going 9-for-17 (.529) with three walks. His homer Thursday was his first since Aug. 17, giving him five long balls this month and 12 on the year. The shortstop is now slashing .287/.335/.430 with 47 RBI, 66 runs scored, 24 doubles, four triples and 10 stolen bases over 125 games this season.
