Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said that Knack will serve as a bulk reliever Monday in Game 2 of the NLCS versus the Mets, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports. Ryan Brasier will be the opener for the Dodgers, with Knack in line to record "most of the outs," per Roberts. Knack made one one-inning relief appearance during the NLDS against the Padres but operated as either a traditional starter or bulk reliever in all 15 of his appearances during the regular season, collecting a 3.65 ERA and 69:18 K:BB over 69 frames.

Knack is set to follow Anthony Banda for Sunday's game in Colorado, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports. Plunkett notes that this could foreshadow how the Dodgers will use Knack in the postseason. The rookie right-hander has a 5.14 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 23 strikeouts in 21 innings over his last five appearances and will make his final trip to the mound of the regular season in Coors Field.

Knack (2-3) allowed two runs on three hits and a walk while striking out eight over six innings Friday, taking the loss versus the Guardians. Knack was called up to fill a spot in the Dodgers' downtrodden rotation while Clayton Kershaw (toe) and Gavin Stone (shoulder) are out of action. This was Knack's first big-league game since Aug. 13, and he was able to limit the Guardians to a two-run home run by Andres Gimenez in the sixth inning. Through 11 appearances (nine starts), Knack has given up more than two runs just twice. He's at a 3.00 ERA, 0.96 WHIP and 52:13 K:BB through 54 innings. He'll likely get at least one more start, which is tentatively projected to come in Atlanta, though Knack could stick around longer if the Dodgers decide he's a better option than Bobby Miller.

Knack was recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma City ahead of his scheduled start Friday against the Guardians. As expected, Knack will come up to start in place of Clayton Kershaw (toe), and he could stick around for an additional start beyond Friday with Gavin Stone (shoulder) now on the injured list as well. Knack has been impressive in 10 appearances (eight starts) for the Dodgers this season, posting a 3.00 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 44:12 K:BB over 48 innings.

The Dodgers will recall Knack from Triple-A Oklahoma City to start Friday's game against the Guardians, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports. Knack will be called upon to fill the gap in Los Angeles' starting rotation created by Clayton Kershaw's (toe) move to the injured list. The 27-year-old Knack has been a reliable option for the Dodgers this season, posting a 3.00 ERA and 1.00 WHIP through 48 innings across 10 appearances (eight starts). While his time in the majors may not extend past Friday, he makes for an interesting streaming option at home.
