Twins' Yohan Pino: Signs minor league contract with Twins
Yohan Pino agreed to a minor league contract with the Minnesota Twins on Tuesday, Matt Eddy of Baseball America reports.The right-hander most recently pitched in Korea, struggling to the tune of a 7.15 ERA over 39.0 innings, while posting a 23/15 K/BB ratio to go with it. He pitched with the Twins back in 2014, but posted a 5.07 ERA across 60.1 innings. The 33-year-old will likely provide organization depth at reliever for the Twins.

Royals activate Kris Medlen from DL, option Yohan Pino
The Kansas City Royals activated pitcher Kris Medlen from the 60-day disabled list, the team announced on Monday. Medlen hasn't pitched in the majors this year as he recovered from Tommy John surgery. He'll be in uniform for Monday's game. To make room on the roster, the team optioned pitcher Yohan Pino to Triple-A Omaha.

Royals recall P Aaron Brooks from Triple-A, option P Yohan Pino
The Kansas City Royals have recalled right-hander Aaron Brooks from Triple-A Omaha, and optioned pitcher Yohan Pino, the team announced Tuesday. Brooks will be making his season-debut after making six appearances (five starts) for the Storm Chasers. In those six games, Brooks went 2-3 with a 3.51 ERA and an impressive 35:9 K:BB ratio over 33 1/3 innings. This marks the second time in less than a month that Pino has been demoted to Triple-A. He was recalled on April 19. The team sent him back down on May 5 and called him back up three days later. Overall, the right-hander has made six appearances out of the Royals' bullpen, allowing just a single earned run (a home run) over 14 innings pitched.

Royals recall Yohan Pino, demote Francisco Pena to Triple-A
The Kansas City Royals recalled pitcher Yohan Pino from Triple-A Omaha on Friday after placing starting pitcher Jason Vargas (elbow) on the 15-day disabled list. The Royals also optioned catcher Francisco Pena to Omaha to clear a roster spot for Drew Butera, who was acquired Thursday in a trade with the Angels.

Yohan Pino has strung together a pair of solid outings, adding more firepower to an already strong Kansas City Royals' bullpen. Pino, who was called up from Triple-A Omaha last week, struck out four in three scoreless innings on Wednesday against Minnesota. He has thrown 7 2/3 scoreless innings in two long relief outings. "The thing that caught my attention in spring is that he's a strike thrower and he's not afraid," manager Ned Yost said, per MLB.com. "I've liked him a lot more now when you see him under this type of competition in the Major Leagues. He's done a really good job for us."

Twins outright Yohan Pino, Doug Bernier to Triple-A
The Minnesota Twins have sent pitcher Yohan Pino and infielder Doug Bernier outright to Triple-A Rochester, the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports. Bernier elected free agency, and Pino is expected to become a free agent as well. Pino made his major-league debut in 2014 and finished the season with a 5.07 ERA and 50:14 K:BB ratio in 60 1/3 innings over 11 starts. Bernier was just 2 for 7 with the Twins in 2014.
