Orioles' Jesus Montero: Completes suspension
Jesus Montero was added to Triple-A Norfolk's roster Wednesday after completing his 50-game suspension, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports. The former top catching prospect, now a first baseman, was hit with a suspension in September after testing positive for a banned substance. The test results brought his impressive 2016 season (.317/.349/.438) into question, but Montero has posted strong numbers since becoming a professional at age 17. He'll get a chance to jump right back into the action at Norfolk, but Montero -- who has 226 MLB games under his belt -- is a long shot to join the O's this season considering the club's large stable of first baseman.

Orioles' Jesus Montero: Signs minor league contract with Orioles
Jesus Montero (suspension) agreed to a minor league contract with the Baltimore Orioles on Tuesday, Jon Heyman of FanRag Sports reports. The 27-year-old will provide organizational depth, but only after he serves a 50-game suspension for testing positive for a banned substance. Blue Jays' Jesus Montero: Suspended 50 games
Jesus Montero has been suspended 50 games after testing positive for a banned substance, Ryan Divish of the Seattle Times reports.Specifically, Montero was flagged for a stimulant called dimethylbutylamine which is banned under the Minor League Drug Prevention and Treatment Program. The 26-year-old had put together a solid year, batting .317/.349/.438 in 126 games with Triple-A Buffalo, but he was passed over for a September callup and this suspension will ultimately overshadow his accomplishments. Once considered a top prospect, Montero was suspended in 2014 following an incident with a Mariners scout and he may now be out of chances with big-league organizations.

Blue Jays' Jesus Montero: Rakes way to IL All-Star spot
Jesus Montero was named to the postseason International League All-Star team as the designated hitter, The Buffalo News reports.Montero, the lone Bison to make the Triple-A All-Star team, has raked his way through the International League this season, hitting .321/.353/.446 over 471 at-bats. The 26-year-old is locked in a tight race for the IL batting title as he ranks second in hits (151) and fourth in total bases (209). Montero, who has logged 226 big league games over five seasons, has notched two hitting streaks of 13-plus games this year while batting over .280 in every month of the campaign, including a ridiculous .395 mark in August. Although he's not currently on the Jays' 40-man roster, the team has room to create a spot and give him a deserving promotion for the final month of the MLB season.

Mariners 1B Jesus Montero hits three-run HR Wednesday
Seattle Mariners first baseman Jesus Montero went 1 for 3 with a three-run homer in a 3-1 win over the Angels on Wednesday. The young catcher turned first baseman hadn't been playing much coming into last week, but he has now played six times in the last nine days. The numbers are still lacking though, as he sits with a .217 average with four home runs in 92 at-bats this season. The Venezuelan has been in and out of the majors throughout his career, and it wouldn't be surprising to see him back in the minors at the beginning of next season.
