Jordan Pacheco: Embarks on coaching career
The Rockies announced Friday that Jordan Pacheco has accepted a position within the organization as a hitting coach for Triple-A El Paso.Pacheco's transition into coaching comes after he announced Aug. 3 via his personal Instagram account that he retired as a player. The 35-year-old most recently played in the independent Atlantic League of Professional Baseball with the Lexington Legends, but prior to that, he spent parts of six seasons in the majors from 2011 through 2016 with the Rockies, Diamondbacks and Reds. Pacheco retires with a career slash line of .272/.310/.365 to go with 10 home runs and eight stolen bases across 1,149 plate appearances.

Twins' Jordan Pacheco: Lands on DL
Jordan Pacheco was placed on the disabled list at Triple-A Rochester with a right wrist fracture prior to Friday's game, Brandon Warne of The Athletic reports.There has been no word on the severity of Pacheco's injury, but it's expected that he will miss an extended period of time.
