Royals' Lester Oliveros: Minor league deal with Kansas City
Lester Oliveros signed a minor league contract with Kansas City, Baseball America reports.Oliveros had a strong season at Triple-A last year wiht a 11.6 K/9 and a 3.79 ERA, but never got a chance in Minnesota's bullpen. He also reduced his walk rate to 3.28, his lowest rate since 2012. Walks have always been a problem, but Oliveros throws hard enough he could get a shot at the Kansas City bullpen at some point.
