Brewers' Tyler Bortnick: Signs minor-league contract with Milwaukee
Tyler Bortnick has agreed to a minor-league deal with the Milwaukee Brewers.Bortnick will begin his time with the Brewers in Triple-A Colorado Springs. The 30-year-old last played with Triple-A Toledo in Detroit's system during the 2016 season, hitting .222/.327/.356 with one home run and six RBI in 17 games. Bortnick will serve as organizational depth in the infield moving forward.

Tigers' Tyler Bortnick: Climbs back to Triple-A again
Tyler Bortnick recently advanced to Triple-A Toledo and has a slash line of .270/.357/.432 in 37 at-bats.Bortnick is a 28-year-old utility infielder who has yet to the the light of the majors shine on his face. But he has finally managed to claw his way back to Triple-A and is hitting a combined .279/.347/.481 in 104 at-bats between Double-A and Triple-A this season. Bortnick has reached Triple-A several times in his career, but we're not certain he'll get a shot to advance to the majors with the Detroit Tigers.
