Red Sox's Bobby Dalbec: Collects two doubles, two RBI

Dalbec went 2-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI and two runs during Saturday's 9-0 win against the Angels.

The 25-year-old now has three straight games with two RBI and has driven in 11 runs in his past seven contests. Dalbec is 9-for-25 with three homers and three doubles during that stretch as he's heated up after a tough start to the season.

  • Ty France 1B | SD

Mariners' Ty France: Donning splint for multiple days

France (wrist) will wear a splint for up to five days and take anti-inflammatory drugs during his time on the 10-day injured list, the Associated Press reports.

France was hit by a pitch in the forearm back on April 28, and he slashed .067/.192/.089 over the 52 plate appearances covering his subsequent 13 games before hitting the injured list. There's very likely a connection to his struggles, and the hope is the combination of downtime and the anti-inflammatory medication will get him back to full health and the success at the plate he enjoyed early in the season.

  • Yandy Diaz 1B | TB

Rays' Yandy Diaz: Doubles twice in blowout

Diaz went 3-for-4 with two doubles, a walk, two RBI and three runs scored in Saturday's 12-5 win over the Mets.

It was undoubtedly the best offensive performance thus far in 2021 for Diaz, who's hitting .333 in his last seven games with just three strikeouts in 24 at-bats during that span. Despite having yet to homer this season, the first baseman has been a legitimate offensive contributor in past seasons and shouldn't be overlooked despite the early lack of power.

  • Jose Abreu 1B | HOU

White Sox's Jose Abreu: Starting Saturday

Abreu (face) is starting at first base and hitting fourth Saturday against the Royals, James Fegan of The Athletic reports.

The first baseman had been pushing manager Tony La Russa to let him play Saturday following a nasty collision Friday and ultimately got his way.

  • Jose Abreu 1B | HOU

White Sox's Jose Abreu: Lobbying to play Saturday

Abreu (face) wants to start Saturday against the Royals but his status depends on a final medical evaluation, James Fegan of The Athletic reports.

The first baseman has certainly recovered rapidly, given the nature of the injury. Should he play, Abreu enters an enticing matchup against lefty Mike Minor. If not Saturday, Abreu will return to the White Sox lineup Sunday.

  • Orioles' Ryan Mountcastle: Sitting Saturday

Mountcastle is not starting Saturday's game against the Yankees, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

The right-handed hitter sits against Yankees righty starter Domingo German amidst an 0-for-12 run in his last three games, including a three-strikeout showing Friday. Pedro Severino fills in for Mountcastle at designated hitter.

  • Josh Naylor 1B | SEA

Indians' Josh Naylor: Goes deep in loss

Naylor went 3-for-4 with a two-run home run and an additional run scored in Friday's loss to Seattle.

Naylor scored Cleveland's first run in the fifth inning, then made the final score a little closer with a two-run blast in the ninth. The three-hit game was his third of the season. He is slashing .274/.315/.427 with three homers, 16 runs and 10 RBI across 124 plate appearances.

  • Bobby Dalbec 1B | CHW

Red Sox's Bobby Dalbec: Productive in Friday's win

Dalbec went 1-for-2 with a walk, a two-run home run and a stolen base in Friday's 4-3 win over the Angels.

His seventh-inning blast off Tony Watson proved to be the game-winning hit. Dalbec has four homers on the year and 12 in 55 games to begin his career, but Friday's steal was his first in the majors.

  • Andrew Vaughn 1B | MIL

White Sox's Andrew Vaughn: Pops second homer

Vaughn went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run in the second game of Friday's doubleheader against the Royals.

His second-inning shot off Jakob Junis proved to be the decisive blow in a 3-1 win. Vaughn has found his stroke after a rough start to his MLB career, going 12-for-39 (.308) over his last 12 games with four doubles and his first two homers of the year, along with seven RBI and 10 runs.

  • Blue Jays' Vladimir Guerrero: Launches solo shot

Guerrero went 1-for-2 with a solo home run and two walks in Friday's 5-1 loss to Philadelphia.

Guerrero opened the scoring with a solo shot off Philadelphia starter Vince Velasquez in the sixth inning. The 22-year-old Guerrero has now gone yard twice in his last four games after slumping in the power department early in May. He has nine homers, 27 RBI, 26 runs scored, a stolen base and a .310/.440/.566 slash line through 159 plate appearances this year.
