Kole Calhoun 1B | CLE
Angels' Kole Calhoun: Stays hot with three hits Sunday
Calhoun went 3-for-5 with a double, an RBI and a run scored in Sunday's loss to the Royals.
Calhoun has been one of the hottest hitters in baseball this month, slashing .359/.440/.609 in 74 June plate appearances. Patient fantasy owners have been rewarded for hanging in there with the veteran outfielder when he struggled out of the gate, as his current .279 BABIP (.304 career BABIP) indicates that he has more positive luck coming his way.

Jose Abreu 1B | HOU
White Sox's Jose Abreu: Snaps homer drought
Abreu went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's 5-2 win over Toronto.
The homer was Abreu's first in 22 games. That's a pretty long gap for a player who averaged one long ball every five games entering the 2017 season, but with 11 homers in 66 games, he's not far off the pace. While going homerless for 21 games, Abreu did provide some returns for fantasy owners, hitting .301 (25-for-83) with 13 runs and 13 RBI.

Yandy Diaz 1B | TB
Indians' Yandy Diaz: Heads to DL with quad strain
Diaz was placed on the 7-day disabled list for Triple-A Columbus with a right quad strain.
It's unclear how the ailment was incurred, but it seems to explain why Diaz has been held out of action since June 11. The injury comes at a tough time for the infield prospect, as he had been batting .371 over his previous 10 games prior to getting hurt. Southpaw Matt Whitehouse will come up from Double-A Akron and fill his spot on the roster for now.

Samir Duenez 1B | KC
Royals' Samir Duenez: Selected for Double-A All-Star Game
Duenez was selected for the Texas League All-Star Game to be held in Frisco on June 27.
A member of the Royals' 40-man roster, Duenez has been solid in his first full season at Double-A, hitting .267/.324/.422 through 63 games. He leads Northwest Arkansas in home runs (eight), RBI (39) and runs scored (35) this year.

Kole Calhoun 1B | CLE
Angels' Kole Calhoun: Smacks two hits Thursday
Calhoun was 2-for-4 with one run scored Thursday against the Royals.
The month of June has been kind to Calhoun, who is hitting .373 with five home runs and 14 RBI over the last 14 games. He's now hitting .240, which is much more respectable than the .207 average he carried into the month. With all of the shakeups and injuries that the Angels' outfield has seen recently, Calhoun has been the constant in right field. It figures to stay that way, especially if he continues this hot streak.

Matt Olson 1B | ATL
Athletics' Matt Olson: Optioned to Triple-A Nashville
Olson was optioned to Triple-A Nashville following Tuesday's game to make room for Wednesday's starter Daniel Gossett, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
The 23-year-old went 1-for-9 with an RBI, two walks and a run over 11 plate appearances across five games with the big-league club. He'll look to continue what's been a solid season at Triple-A Nashville, where he's slashed .286/.376/.582 with 15 home runs and 38 RBI.

Andy Wilkins 1B | MIN
Twins' Andy Wilkins: Joins Twins on minor-league deal
Wilkins formally signed a minor-league contract with the Twins on Monday.
He was thrust into action right away with the Twins' Double-A Chattanooga affiliate, and Wilkins made a nice first impression, doubling twice in his debut with the Lookouts. Wilkins had been playing in independent ball after slashing .235/.321/.419 with Triple-A Colorado Springs and just .125/.222/.292 with the Brewers last season. The 28-year-old is a long shot to reach the majors this year.

Kole Calhoun 1B | CLE
Angels' Kole Calhoun: Ups RBI count to 30
Calhoun went 2-for-4 with three RBI and a run during Sunday's win over Houston.
Calhoun has caught fire of late with seven multi-hit showing through his past 10 games for a 1.283 OPS, four home runs, 13 RBI and eight runs. He still sports a lackluster .239/.325/.382 slash line for the season, but his recent heater has his counting stats closer to where fantasy owners would expect (nine homers, 30 RBI and 29 runs). The 29-year-old outfield is getting himself back on track to post another serviceable campaign.

Yuli Gurriel DH | SD
Astros' Yulieski Gurriel: Extends hit streak to 11
Gurriel went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's 12-6 loss to the Angels.
Gurriel is chugging along right now, having hit in 11 straight games with three homers. He's knocked in 14 men during the hitting streak, nearly half of the 29 RBI he has over 54 games. Oddly enough for the right-handed hitter, he's mashed right-handers while hitting just .173 against southpaws.

C.J. Cron 1B | BOS
Angels' C.J. Cron: Starts against righty Saturday
Cron got the nod at first against the right-handed Mike Fiers on Saturday, going 0-for-4 with three strikeouts in a 3-1 loss to the Astros.
It appeared that a platoon at first base with Luis Valbuena was developing, but manager Mike Scioscia revealed his plans to give both players semi-regular playing time, according to The Orange County Register's Jeff Fletcher. Cron has started four of the six games since being recalled from Triple-A Salt Lake, contributing a home run and four RBI over that span. A strict platoon would have depleted the majority of the 27-year-old's fantasy value, but with the news of a time share, deep-league owners could look to the slugger for some sporadic power.
