Carlos Santana 1B | ARI
Indians' Carlos Santana: Enters 30 Home Run Club for first time
Santana went 2-for-4 with a walk and a two-run homer in Thursday's game against the Astros.
With his home run, Santana joined teammate Mike Napoli in the 30 Home Run Club this season -- the first time two Indians have done so since 2002 (Jim Thome and Ellis Burkes). It's the first time in Santana's seven-year career that he's hammered 30 longballs. Although he has just five hits in 21 at-bats through early September, he's compensated by walking 11 times, tallying five RBI and scoring six runs over seven games. The switch-hitting DH has also homered in three of his last seven starts.

C.J. Cron 1B | BOS
Angels' C.J. Cron: Homers in loss
Cron went 1-for-4 with a solo homer in a loss to the A's on Wednesday.
Cron's blast in the seventh inning was the only run the Angels could muster against starter Jharel Cotton, who pitched 6.1 innings in his major league debut. Cron has homered five times in his last 10 games, bringing his slugging percentage to .498 this season.

Kole Calhoun 1B | CLE
Angels' Kole Calhoun: Homers in win over Athletics
Calhoun walked, homered and scored twice in a 2-for-5 game in Monday's win over the Athletics.
Calhoun extended his hitting streak to four games with the effort and now has three home runs, two walks and six RBI over that stretch. While he is unlikely to match his career high 26 home runs from last season, his OPS is up to .780, his best mark since he started playing regularly in the Angels outfield in 2014.

Jose Abreu 1B | HOU
White Sox's Jose Abreu: Goes deep twice Sunday in win against Twins
Abreu went 3-for-7 with two home runs and seven RBI in the White Sox's extra-inning win over the Twins on Sunday.
The seven RBI were a career high, and the pair of home runs moved him to 22 on the year. His recent hot stretch (he's hitting .370/.413/.677) since the start of August, has helped him salvage a what had been a disappointing campaign. Abreu had an .822 OPS after Sunday's game, which is just 27 points behind last year's .849.

C.J. Cron 1B | BOS
Angels' C.J. Cron: Leaves the yard for 15th time of season Sunday
Cron went 1-for-4 with a solo homer - his 15th home run of 2016 - against the Mariners on Sunday.
Cron extended his hitting streak to 11 games, and he's slashing .288/.335/.500 on the year. Since his rookie campaign in 2014, he's seen his batting average, on-base percentage and slugging percentage rise significantly, making him a player on the rise.

Jose Abreu 1B | HOU
White Sox's Jose Abreu: Records three hits for second straight night
Abreu went 3-for-6 with three RBI in a 11-4 victory over the Twins on Friday.
This was the second straight night the first baseman had three hits. He has a modest five-game hitting streak, going 11-for-23 (.478) with three extra-base hits, including two homers during that stretch. Abreu is hitting .293 with 20 homers, 79 RBI and 53 runs in 518 at-bats.

Matt McBride 1B | PHI
Athletics' Matt McBride: Recalled by A's
The A's recalled McBride from Triple-A Nashville on Friday, MLB.com's Jane Lee reports.
McBride posted a .781 OPS over 70 games with Nashville this season. He appeared in 15 games for the A's earlier in 2016 but posted just a .558 OPS in those contests. He will provide some catching depth behind starter Stephen Vogt, and could see some time in the outfield as well.

Jose Abreu 1B | HOU
White Sox's Jose Abreu: Reaches 20 homers as part of three-hit night
Abreu went 3-for-5 with his 20th homer and two RBI in a loss to Minnesota on Thursday.
If you gave up on Abreu and dumped him in early July with just 11 homers and a .263 average to show for his first 83 games, it's been hard to suffer looking at his batting lines since. That's particularly been the case recently, as Abreu's hit six homers in his last 12 games to go with a neat .400 batting average.

C.J. Cron 1B | BOS
Angels' C.J. Cron: Continues hot hitting Wednesday versus Reds
Cron went 2-for-4 with two RBI and scored a run in Wednesday's 3-0 win over the Reds.
Cron extended his hitting streak to eight games with his fourth straight multi-hit effort Wednesday. Since being activated from the DL with a hand injury, Cron has hit safely in nine of 11 games. He's 16-for-44 (.364) with three home runs, 10 RBI and six runs since Aug. 20.
