Smith is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Dodgers.

With lefty David Price on the hill for the Dodgers, Mets manager Luis Rojas will give three of the team's lefty-hitting regulars -- Smith, Jeff McNeil and Michael Conforto -- the day off. Brandon Drury will step in for Smith in left field.

Cronenworth went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Saturday's 4-3 extra-inning win over the Phillies.

The Padres were dominated by opposing starter Aaron Nola for most of the game, failing to produce a baserunner for the first six innings. Cronenworth turned what looked to be another bleak outcome around with two outs in the bottom of the ninth, however, blasting a game-tying two-run shot to center field. He has three long balls across his past six games and is batting .318 with six RBI and four walks over that span.

O'Hearn is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Cubs.

The lefty-hitting O'Hearn will be squeezed out of the lineup against a right-hander (Alec Mills), mostly as a result of no designated hitter being available in Chicago. Hunter Dozier will pick up a start in right field, the position O'Hearn manned in the first two games of the series.

Bohm was optioned to Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Sunday, Daniel Guerrero of MLB.com reports.

Bohm had already ceded the starting third base job to Ronald Torreyes, and now the return of Rhys Hoskins (groin) will block him from getting playing time at first base as well. It remains to be seen whether Bohm will get another shot with the big-league club in 2021, a year in which he's slashed .245/.302/.342 with seven home runs and 47 RBI.

Hoskins (groin) was activated from the 10-day injured list and is batting fifth Sunday against the Padres, Daniel Guerrero of MLB.com reports.

A left groin strain sidelined Hoskins since Aug. 10, but he's back in the lineup for the series finale in San Diego. The injury came at a bad time, as he had hit .394 with five doubles, three home runs and 11 RBI in his last 10 games before going down. Alec Bohm was optioned to Triple-A Lehigh Valley in a corresponding move.

Tellez is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Nationals.

As is often the case, Tellez is omitted from the lineup with an opposing lefty on the mound. Eduardo Escobar is playing first base Sunday, with Luis Urias getting the start at third.

Diaz is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the White Sox.

He'll head to the bench for the third time in five games and appears to be stuck in a short-side platoon role in the infield. After going 1-for-3 with a walk and a run scored in Saturday's 8-4 win, Diaz is slashing .244/.292/.488 in 24 games since the All-Star break.

Cabrera is on the bench for Sunday's series finale in Colorado.

A hitless Saturday lowered Cabrera's average to .211 in the last 10 games. He's tallied three doubles, a home run and two RBI in that span. Drew Ellis is playing third base and batting seventh Sunday.

Mountcastle went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's loss to Atlanta.

Mountcastle gave Baltimore an early lead with a first-inning solo shot to center field. The homer was his 21st of the season and accounted for his 65th RBI. It also extended Mountcastle's hitting streak to 13 games, during which he is batting .396 (19-for-48) with five homers and 10 RBI.

Wade hit a go-ahead, two-run home run as a pinch hitter in Saturday's 6-5 win over Oakland.

The 27-year-old pinch hit for Darin Ruf in the ninth inning and delivered a clutch homer to put San Francisco ahead for the first time in the contest. Jake McGee was able to convert the save, but Wade was the Giants' hero in this one. The homer was Wade's 16th of the year to go with 41 RBI, 36 runs scored, three stolen bases and a .251/.324/.530 slash line across 246 plate appearances. He's likely to remain a steady presence in the lineup against right-handed pitching.
