  • C.J. Cron 1B | BOS

Rockies' C.J. Cron: Gets Sunday off

Cron will sit Sunday against the Phillies.

Cron has hit an excellent .344/.416/.718 with 13 homers in 37 games since the start of August. He'll get a rest Sunday as Colton Welker takes over at first base.

  • Blue Jays' Vladimir Guerrero: Blasts homer No. 43

Guerrero went 3-for-8 with a solo home run and three runs scored across both games of Saturday's doubleheader versus Baltimore.

The 22-year-old provided a solo shot in an 11-10 win in Game 1, then added a pair of singles and runs in Toronto's monumental 11-run seventh inning in Game 2. Guerrero has gone yard four times in his last seven contests, and he's up to 43 home runs on the year. He's added a stellar .319/.407/.606 slash line with 101 RBI, 110 runs scored and four stolen bases across 612 plate appearances.

  • Rowdy Tellez 1B | ATL

Brewers' Rowdy Tellez: Slated for MRI

Tellez will undergo an MRI on his right knee Sunday to determine the severity of his injury, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Tellez was removed from Saturday's game against Cleveland in the second inning and was initially diagnosed with right knee discomfort. However, the Brewers will likely have a better idea of the severity of the issue following Sunday's tests.

  • Matt Olson 1B | ATL

Athletics' Matt Olson: Hits 33rd homer

Olson went 1-for-4 with a solo homer in Saturday's 8-6 loss to the Rangers.

Olson smacked his 33rd homer of the season off Texas starter Wes Benjamin in the third inning. The slugger is now three long balls shy of matching his career high of 36 that he set in 2019. This particular home run breathes new life into Olson's push for the mark, as it's the 27-year-old's first round tripper since Aug. 23.

  • Orioles' Ryan Mountcastle: Takes seat for Game 2

Mountcastle isn't in the lineup for the second game of Saturday's doubleheader against the Orioles.

Mountcastle will get a breather after he went 1-for-5 with a solo home run and two strikeouts in Saturday's matinee. Trey Mancini will start at first base while DJ Stewart enters the lineup in right field.

  • Rowdy Tellez 1B | ATL

Brewers' Rowdy Tellez: Leaves game with knee discomfort

Tellez exited Saturday's game against Cleveland in the second inning due to right knee discomfort.

Tellez went 1-for-1 with a double and an RBI to begin Saturday's contest, but he was replaced defensively in the bottom of the second frame. It's not yet clear whether the injury will force him to miss additional time.

  • Andrew Vaughn 1B | MIL

White Sox's Andrew Vaughn: Day-to-day with leg soreness

Vaughn is dealing with leg soreness and is not in Saturday's lineup against the Red Sox, James Fegan of The Athletic reports.

Eloy Jimenez will start at designated hitter while Romy Gonzalez starts in left field. This is the second straight game Vaughn will miss due to the soreness.

  • Luke Raley RF | SEA

Dodgers' Luke Raley: Slugs two homers at Triple-A

Raley went 3-for-5 with a pair of home runs and four total RBI for Triple-A Oklahoma City on Friday.

Previous reports erroneously stated that Raley was placed on the 60-day IL in early September. The outfielder appears to have instead been shifted to -- and since returned from -- the COVID-19-related injured list. Raley's pair of long balls Friday pushed his season total in the minors to 15, which he has complemented with a .306/.408/.590 slash line and 58 RBI over 262 plate appearances. However, the outfielder was less successful in a 30-game stint with the Dodgers earlier in the campaign, batting just .169 with one homer across 59 at-bats.

  • Anthony Rizzo 1B | NYY

Yankees' Anthony Rizzo: Goes deep again

Rizzo went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 10-3 loss to the Mets.

The Yankees were routed against their crosstown rivals Friday, so Rizzo's ninth-inning solo shot had little impact on the overall result. Still, the long ball was his second in as many days and extended his hitting streak to six games. Over that stretch, Rizzo is slashing .348/.375/.609 with five RBI.

  • Diamondbacks' Christian Walker: Short side of platoon

Walker is not in Saturday's lineup against the Mariners.

He is hitting .125 in 16 at-bats this month and it seems he has fallen into the short side of a platoon. Pavin Smith will start at first base while Seth Beer starts at designated hitter.
