Twins' Bailey Ober: Finishes on high note
Bailey Ober (6-9) earned the win Thursday over the Rangers, allowing just two hits and a walk over six scoreless innings. He struck out five.It was an encouraging outing for Ober, who held Texas to a pair of singles after giving up 10 runs across 11 innings in his prior two starts. Still, it was a disappointing campaign overall for Ober. He'll likely finish with a 5.10 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 120:31 K:BB across 27 starts (146.1 innings) after posting a sub-4.00 ERA in each of his previous three seasons.

Twins' Bailey Ober: Rough outing in twin bill
Bailey Ober (5-9) took the loss in the second game of Saturday's doubleheader sweep at the hands of the Guardians, coughing up six runs on eight hits and two walks over five innings. He struck out one.The right-hander did manage to keep the ball in the park after Cleveland homered five times in the matinee, but there weren't many other silver linings on this performance for Ober. The six runs allowed represented his worst showing since he got tagged for seven runs by the Tigers at the end of June prior to landing on the IL with a hip issue, but Ober's given up at least four runs in four of his last five trips to the mound, sagging to a 6.49 ERA, 1.41 WHIP and 22:5 K:BB through 26.1 innings over that stretch. He'll put a disappointing 2025 to bed with one more start, which is scheduled to come on the road next weekend in Philadelphia.

Twins' Bailey Ober: Fans nine, takes loss
Bailey Ober (5-8) took the loss Sunday against Arizona, conceding four runs on four hits and no walks over six innings. He struck out nine.Despite notching his eighth start without a free pass issued, Ober was saddled with the loss in this 101-pitch appearance. The Minnesota right-hander once again yielded a homer, his 30th given up of the season, when James McCann slugged a three-run long ball in the fourth inning, ruining Ober's opportunity for a quality start. The 30-year-old now sports a 5.12 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and 114:28 K:BB across 135.1 total frames. He currently lines up to make his next start at home against Cleveland next weekend.

Twins' Bailey Ober: Finally victorious again
Bailey Ober (5-7) earned the win Sunday at Kansas City, allowing one run on four hits and a walk over 5.1 innings with six strikeouts. The Minnesota right-hander tallied a victory for the first time since May 3 -- he had gone 0-6 with a 5.91 ERA in 85.1 frames across 16 starts over that winless span. Ober's main issue during that stretch was the long ball, as he coughed up 24 -- good for a 2.5 HR/9 -- in that time. Sunday marked his first homerless performance in his last five appearances. Overall, the 30-year-old has now pitched to a 5.08 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 105:28 K:BB across 129.1 total innings. Ober currently projects to make his next start at home against Arizona next weekend.

Twins' Bailey Ober: Concedes four runs in no-decision
Bailey Ober did not factor into the decision in Monday's 6-5 loss to the White Sox. He allowed four runs on six hits and two walks over five innings with three strikeouts. The Minnesota right-hander struggled with the long ball once again in this 69-pitch outing, coughing up two homers, upping his season total to 29. Ober gave up both round trippers in the second inning with Colson Montgomery hitting a solo shot before Chase Meidroth added a two-run blast. Given Ober's inability to keep the ball in the park (he now owns a 2.1 HR/9), it is difficult to rely upon him in fantasy. The 30-year-old will carry a 5.23 ERA, 1.36 WHIP and 99:27 K:BB across 124 total innings into his next matchup, which projects to come on the road against Kansas City this weekend.

Twins' Bailey Ober: Coughs up four runs
Bailey Ober did not factor in the decision during Tuesday's win over Toronto, allowing four runs on 10 hits while striking out three over five innings. He did not issue a walk.Ober struggled early Tuesday, coughing up three runs in the first two innings. He served up two solo homers to George Springer, including one in his fifth and final inning of work. Ober is still searching for his first win since May 3 and would've fallen to 4-8 if not for a late comeback by the Minnesota Twins. Since that last victory, he's 0-6 with a 5.83 ERA across 80.1 frames. For the year, Ober owns a 5.14 ERA with a 96:25 K:BB in 22 starts. Twins' Bailey Ober: Ties season high with seven Ks
Bailey Ober took a no-decision Wednesday against the Athletics, allowing two runs on three hits and one walk in 5.2 innings. He struck out seven.Ober turned in his fourth consecutive start of at least five innings since coming off the injured list, and he induced a strong 18 whiffs en route to tying a season high in punchouts. The right-hander had a dismal June, posting a 9.00 ERA across five starts in the month, but he's at least managed to log a more encouraging 4.09 ERA, 0.91 WHIP and 19:3 K:BB over his first four outings of August after missing over a month of action due to a left hip impingement. That said, Ober could have his work cut out for him in Toronto against the first-place Blue Jays his next time out.

Twins' Bailey Ober: Takes loss despite quality start
Bailey Ober (4-7) took the loss against the Royals on Saturday, allowing one run on four hits and one walk while striking out four across six innings.Ober started his outing strong by retiring the first seven batters he faced, and despite limiting the Royals' offense to a Maikel Garcia RBI double in the third, there wasn't enough run support from the Minnesota Twins batters to avoid the loss. It was Ober's seventh quality start of the season and first since returning from a left hip impingement Aug. 2. Ober is in line to make his next start at home against the Tigers next week.

Twins' Bailey Ober: Lasts five innings in return
Bailey Ober (hip) allowed four runs on six hits and a walk while striking out four over five innings in a no-decision Saturday versus the Guardians.Ober missed a month due to a left hip impingement. He had only stretched back out to 65 pitches during his rehab assignment, but he was able to throw 91 pitches (62 strikes) Saturday, so he should have no further workload restrictions as long as he feels good between starts. The next goal for the right-hander will be putting a strong finish on what's been a difficult campaign -- he's pitched to a 5.38 ERA, 1.41 WHIP and 78:23 K:BB through 97 innings across 18 starts. Home runs have been the big issue; after allowing two of them against Cleveland, he's yielded 23 long balls on the year, four off his career-high 27 across 178.2 innings last year. Ober is projected to make his next start at home versus the Royals.
