The New York Mets promoted Jett Williams from Double-A Binghamton to Triple-A Syracuse on Sunday, Pat Ragazzo of SI.com reports.Williams will move up to Triple-A after slashing .281/.390/.477 with 10 home runs and 32 stolen bases over 96 games with Binghamton this season. Regarded as one of the Mets' top prospects, the 21-year-old Williams likely won't be in the mix for anything more than a September call-up, but he could emerge as an everyday player for the big club at some point in 2026.

Double-A Binghamton activated Jett Williams (wrist) from the 60-day injured list Friday.Williams went four months between his injury and the beginning of his rehab assignment after needing a triangular fibrocartilage complex debridement procedure in his right wrist. The ever-patient shortstop hit .250 with four walks, three strikeouts, two steals and zero extra-base hits in five rehab games. Williams has proven to be an on-base machine (career .417 OBP), as he knows the strike zone very well, but he also has plus-plus speed and good bat speed at the plate, so he could turn into a five-category contributor once he matures and fills out.
