    India went deep in the fourth inning, his 15th home run of the season and first in 14 games. He's hit safely in seven of the last nine contests, going 10-for-32 (.313) with five walks, four extra-base hits, five RBI and five runs scored during that stretch.

    Marte homered in the first inning and drove in a run with a fifth-inning double. The home run was his 33rd, establishing a new career high for the second baseman, and he's up to 90 RBI.

    Bogaerts went 2-for-4 with a stolen base in Friday's 3-2 extra-inning win over the White Sox.

    Bogaerts has racked up three steals over his last five games, though this was his first multi-hit performance since Sept. 5. The 31-year-old has seen steady playing time at shortstop while Ha-Seong Kim (shoulder) is on the mend. Bogaerts is up to a .261/.305/.375 slash line with 10 home runs, 13 steals, 39 RBI and 47 runs scored through 104 contests this year.

    Red Sox's Vaughn Grissom: Recalled from Worcester

    The Red Sox recalled Grissom from Triple-A Worcester on Friday.

    Grissom will take the spot on the 28-man roster vacated by Rob Refsnyder, who was placed on the 10-day injured list due to a right forearm strain. Since being optioned to Worcester on Aug. 8 after being reinstated from the IL, Grissom has slashed .269/.407/.417 with five home runs and 24 RBI across 137 minor-league plate appearances. In the majors, he's slashing .148/.207/.160 with three RBI over 87 plate appearances.

    Dodgers' Gavin Lux: Avoiding southpaw matchup

    Lux is not in the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Rockies, Kirsten Watson of Spectrum SportsNet LA reports.

    The lefty-hitting Lux will begin Friday's contest on the bench with southpaw Kyle Freeland taking the mound for the Rockies. Enrique Hernandez will start at second base and bat ninth.

    Tigers' Colt Keith: Rejoining lineup as DH

    Keith (shoulder) is batting fifth as the designated hitter Friday against the Orioles.

    The 23-year-old sat out Wednesday against the Royals after he suffered a shoulder injury during Tuesday's contest, but he's back in the lineup following Thursday's team off day. Keith is hitting .315 through 14 games in September, though he hasn't supplied a ton of pop with just two extra-base hits.

    Angels' Brandon Drury: Absent from Friday's lineup

    Drury is not in the lineup for Friday's contest in Houston, Matt Kawahara of the Houston Chronicle reports.

    Drury started the last two games after returning from a five-game absence due to a hamstring injury, but he'll be given some rest Friday. Jack Lopez is occupying second base for the Angels.

    Phillies' Bryson Stott: Out of lineup against lefty

    Stott is absent from the lineup for Friday's game against the Mets.

    The left-handed-hitting Stott will receive a breather as the Mets send southpaw David Peterson to the bump. Edmundo Sosa will play second base and bat seventh as the Phillies try to even up the series.

    Diamondbacks' Luis Guillorme: Jettisoned from 40-man roster

    The Diamondbacks designated Guillorme for assignment Friday, Jesse Friedman of GoPHNX.com reports.

    The transaction was made in order to free up a spot on the active roster for the return of Lourdes Gurriel from the injured list. Guillorme played a decent amount while Ketel Marte was injured, but his role has been limited since Marte returned to action.

    Braves' Cavan Biggio: Sent to Triple-A

    Atlanta optioned Biggio to Triple-A Gwinnett on Friday.

    The 29-year-old was added to Atlanta's big-league roster Sept. 11 shortly after being acquired from San Francisco, but he'll now head to Triple-A as Ozzie Albies (wrist) returns from the injured list. Biggio appeared in just four games during his brief time in the majors, and he has a .197/.314/.303 slash line in 78 games between the Dodgers, the Blue Jays and Atlanta this season.
