Nolan Arenado 3B | ARI
Rockies' Nolan Arenado: Out with shoulder injury
Arenado is absent from Sunday's lineup due to an AC joint injury in his left shoulder, Nick Groke of The Athletic reports.
The 29-year-old has apparently been dealing with the injury for the past two days, though he still played the last two games in their entirety. Arenado has no official timeline for his return, though the team hopes he'll be able to avoid the injured list and return to action Tuesday against the A's.

Nolan Arenado 3B | ARI
Rockies' Nolan Arenado: Out of Sunday's lineup
Arenado is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Angels, Patrick Saunders of The Denver Post reports.
Arenado started the past 17 games and had an .863 OPS during that stretch, so he'll receive the day off Sunday. Ryan McMahon will shift to third base while Josh Fuentes starts at first base in the series finale.

Ildemaro Vargas 1B | ARI
Cubs' Ildemaro Vargas: Makes impact in Saturday's start
Vargas went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's 4-2 win over the Brewers.
Getting the start at second base before shifting to third in the late innings, Vargas made his first homer of the year count as he drove a 3-2 fastball from Josh Hader over the wall in left-center field to cap a four-run comeback by the Cubs in the ninth. The 29-year-old utility player is on his third club of 2020, and Vargas' .204/.231/.327 slash line through 52 plate appearances isn't likely to earn him consistent playing time in Chicago.

Mike Moustakas 3B | CHW
Reds' Mike Moustakas: Back in action Sunday
Moustakas (foot) is starting at first base and batting fifth Sunday against the Cardinals, C. Trent Rosecrans of The Athletic reports.
He suffered a bruised foot Thursday and missed the next two games, but he is ready to get back in there for the series finale. Moustakas is hitting .240 with two home runs, seven strikeouts and four walks in 25 at-bats this month.

Brian Anderson RF | ATL
Marlins' Brian Anderson: Launches first homer of September
Anderson went 2-for-4 with a home run, three RBI and a run scored Saturday in a 12-6 loss to the Phillies.
Anderson got the Marlins on the board in the third with a three-run homer. It was the 27-year-old's first long ball since Aug. 31 and his sixth of the season. He is hitting .273/.374/.453 with 24 RBI.

Mike Moustakas 3B | CHW
Reds' Mike Moustakas: Remains sidelined Saturday
Moustakas (foot) isn't in Saturday's lineup against the Cardinals.
Moustakas will miss his second consecutive game after leaving Thursday's game with a foot injury. He underwent an X-ray on Friday that came back negative, so it's unlikely that he'll face a significant absence.

Carter Kieboom 3B | CLE
Nationals' Carter Kieboom: Not starting Saturday
Kieboom isn't in Saturday's lineup against Atlanta.
Kieboom went 0-for-8 with one walk and three strikeouts over the last two games, and he'll take a breather Saturday. Brock Holt will start at third base in his absence.

Ke'Bryan Hayes 3B | CIN
Pirates' Ke'Bryan Hayes: Picks up two hits
Hayes went 2-for-4 with a stolen base during Friday's 4-3 loss to the Royals.
The long-time prospect has performed admirably in his small MLB sample size, hitting .357 in 28 at-bats to kick off his time in a Pirates uniform. A career .279 hitter in the minors (including just a .261 average in 2019), time will tell if Hayes remains an above-average bat in the show.

Ryan McMahon 3B | NYY
Rockies' Ryan McMahon: Ties game with solo shot
McMahon went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 8-4 win over the Angels.
McMahon tied the game at four with his ninth-inning solo shot, and Charlie Blackmon walked it off with a grand slam later in the inning. The long ball was McMahon's seventh of the year, to go with 19 RBI, 17 runs scored and a .216/.308/.424 slash line in 37 games.
