Arenado went 2-for-4 with two solo home runs in Sunday's 6-2 win over the Giants.

Arenado launched his first homer in the first inning before tacking on an insurance run with his second long ball in the fifth frame. The perennial MVP candidate is up to 24 home runs in 2019. He's approaching his fifth straight season with at least 30 homers and 100 RBI.

Longoria (foot) was activated off the 10-day injured list Sunday, Amy Gutierrez of NBC Sports Bay Area reports. He'll start at third base and bat fifth in the Giants' series finale with the Rockies.

Longoria landed on the IL with plantar fasciitis in mid-July and ended up spending just under three weeks on the shelf. The 33-year-old has a .241/.318/.446 slash line with 13 home runs in 83 games. He should immediately reclaim starting duties at the hot corner, sending Pablo Sandoval into a reserve role.

Escobar went 3-for-5 with a walk, two home runs and seven RBI in Saturday's 18-7 rout of the Nationals.

He got the Arizona offense rolling in the first inning with a two-run blast off Stephen Strasburg, then added a three-run shot in the eighth off Brian Dozier after Washington threw in the towel and began using position players on the mound. Escobar's seven RBI were a career high, while the offensive explosion ended a 12-game homer drought for the 30-year-old -- and gave him new career highs with 24 home runs and 88 RBI on the season.

Rendon went 2-for-3 with a walk, a home run and four RBI in Saturday's 18-7 loss to the Diamondbacks.

It's the fourth time in the last nine games Rendon has driven in at least three runs. The 29-year-old is slashing .317/.402/.611 through 96 games this season with 24 homers -- already matching his total from last season, and one short of his career high -- and 84 RBI as he marches toward a career-best campaign, and free agency over the winter.

Longoria (foot) could return as soon as Sunday, Kerry Crowley of The San Jose Mercury News reports.

Longoria has been out for nearly three weeks with plantar fasciitis after initially expecting to require just a minimum-length stay. The Giants haven't officially given Sunday as his target return date but are apparently optimistic that he'll be back soon.

Walding cleared waivers and was outrighted to Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Saturday, Todd Zolecki of MLB.com reports.

Walding has just one hit and a whopping 14 strikeouts in 21 career big-league plate appearances. He hasn't shown much promise at the Triple-A level either, posting a .206/.351/.369 slash line with a 38 percent strikeout rate for Lehigh Valley this season.

Riley went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Friday's 5-2 loss to the Reds.

Making just his second start in the last nine games, Riley went yard for the first time since July 6. The rookie's contact issues (35.1 percent strikeout rate) have caught up with him, but Riley still has 17 homers and a .241/.295/.504 slash line through his first 65 big-league games. If the 22-year-old can learn to generate more consistent offense, he should be able to reclaim a regular spot in Atlanta's starting lineup.

McMahon went 3-for-4 with a two-run home run and two runs scored in Friday's 5-4 win over the Giants.

McMahon scored the first run of the game on a Tony Wolters single in the second inning. Then, in the sixth inning, the second baseman supplied the game-tying homer off Giants reliever Sam Selman. The big game lifts McMahon's line to .271/.343/.448 with 12 homers, 53 RBI and 48 runs scored in 91 games this season.

Davis will start in left field and bat sixth Thursday against the White Sox.

Dominic Smith's (foot) move to the injured list has opened up a regular spot in the outfield for Davis, who will stick in the lineup for a fifth consecutive contest. Even before settling into everyday work, Davis had shined in spottier playing time this season, as he upholds a .843 OPS in 271 plate appearances heading into Thursday. The 26-year-old should have a decent amount of leash moving forward, as Smith isn't expected back until late August at the earliest and the Mets are currently lacking in other appealing alternatives in the outfield.

Segura went 2-for-4 with a pair of base hits in Wednesday's 5-1 loss to the Giants.

Segura was banged up heading into the week after sustaining a right shin contusion Sunday against the Braves, but he'll end up starting every game in the series with San Francisco, as he's in the lineup again Thursday. The shortstop has turned in multi-hit performances in four of his last five starts, resulting in a 14-point jump in his season-long batting average (.287).
