Phillies sign Kevin Correia to MLB deal

The Philadelphia Phillies signed RHP Kevin Correia to a contract with the Major League club, the team announced on Monday. Correia inked a one-year deal. Correia opted out of his contract with the Giants at the end of May. He was 0-1, with a 3.58 ERA in six starts with the Giants' Triple-A team in Sacramento.  Correia will report to the Phillies before Monday's game at Cincinnati. He's expected to make his debut for the team on Friday.
