Mets' Roger Bernadina: May not arrive in camp until next week
Roger Bernadina may not arrive in camp until next week due to visa issues, Adam Rubin of ESPN New York reports.Bernadina was having these issues a week ago, but it was expected to be resolved after a few days. Instead, he is the lone New York Mets player not to have reported yet, and it appears that it may be another week until he does so. The 31-year-old was hoping to compete for a bench spot with the Mets as a non-roster invitee, but this definitely won't help his chances of garnering a 25-man roster spot.

Mets' Roger Bernadina: Gets minors deal with invite to spring training
Roger Bernadina signed a minor league contract with the New York Mets on Monday that includes an invitation to spring training. While Bernadina does have a lengthy MLB resume, he spent much of the 2015 season playing for the Rockies' Triple-A affiliate in Albuquerque. The veteran managed to post a .276/.383/.466 batting line with 15 home runs and 62 RBI at that level, but that's likely inflated due to playing in the Pacfic Coast League. Still, Bernadina will get a chance to join the Mets in spring training, though he'll almost certainly be destined to serve as organizational depth once again.
