    Marlins' Nick Fortes: Resting Monday

Fortes is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Blue Jays.

Fortes will take a seat after he reached base four times while catching both of the final two games of the Marlins' weekend series with the Nationals. Jacob Stallings will replace Fortes behind the dish.

  • Giants' Patrick Bailey: Out of Sunday's lineup

Bailey is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Dodgers, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Bailey started the past five games and will receive a well-deserved day off Sunday. Blake Sabol will take over behind the plate and bat seventh.

  • Gary Sanchez C | MIL

Padres' Gary Sanchez: Not in Sunday's lineup

Sanchez is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rays, Jeff Sanders of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

Sanchez has just one hit, a three-run home run, over his past six games and will head to the bench for Sunday's series finale versus Tampa Bay. Austin Nola will step in behind the plate to catch for Joe Musgrove.

  • Pirates' Austin Hedges: Day off Sunday

Hedges is out of the lineup for Sunday's game at Milwaukee.

Hedges started the first two games of the series and will take a seat for Sunday's finale after going 0-for-5 with a strikeout. Jason Delay will step in behind the plate to catch for righty Luis Ortiz.

  • Miguel Amaya C | CHC

Cubs' Miguel Amaya: Picks up start Sunday

Amaya is starting at catcher and batting eighth in Sunday's game against the Orioles.

Amaya takes over behind the plate with Yan Gomes getting a day off. The 24-year-old has seemingly supplanted veteran Tucker Barnhart as the backup catcher, and he's supplied a solid .815 OPS and two home runs across his first 14 games at the MLB level.

  • Cardinals' Willson Contreras: Receives breather Sunday

Contreras is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Mets.

Contreras started the first two games in New York but will take a seat for the finale after going 2-for-7 with a solo home run. Andrew Knizner will step in behind the plate and bat eighth.

  • Yan Gomes C | CHC

Cubs' Yan Gomes: Gets Sunday breather

Gomes is not in the lineup for Sunday's tilt versus the Orioles, Andy Martinez of Marquee Sports Network reports.

Gomes went 1-for-3 with a double and a run scored in the 3-2 win over Baltimore on Saturday, but he'll take a seat for the series finale. Miguel Amaya will handle backstop duties and hit eighth.

  • Braves' Chadwick Tromp: Called up Sunday

Tromp was recalled from Triple-A Gwinnett on Sunday.

The 28-year-old had a month-long stint in the majors earlier this year and went 2-for-16 in six games. Tromp will rejoin the club Sunday as catching depth ahead of the series finale against the Rockies since Sean Murphy is dealing with a hamstring injury.

  • Sean Murphy C | ATL

Braves' Sean Murphy: MRI shows inflammation

Murphy was diagnosed with inflammation in his right hamstring Sunday and is expected to be held out of the lineup for at least the next couple days, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports.

The 28-year-old was removed from Saturday's win over the Rockies due to hamstring tightness, but it appears he's avoided a serious injury and may not require a trip to the injured list. Travis d'Arnaud should step in as the club's primary backstop as Murphy continues to be evaluated over the next few days. Chadwick Tromp was recalled from Triple-A Gwinnett for catching depth ahead of Sunday's series finale versus Colorado.

  • Blake Sabol C | BOS

Giants' Blake Sabol: Out of lineup Saturday

Sabol is not in the starting lineup for Saturday's contest versus the Dodgers.

Sabol is out of the lineup for a second consecutive game with Michael Conforto, Luis Matos and Mike Yastrzemski making up the Giants' outfield against the Dodgers and Bobby Miller on Saturday. Sabol has hit just .194 with a .568 OPS thus far in June over 31 at-bats, and he may see less playing time with those three assumed to be the starting group at the moment.
