Tigers third baseman Miguel Cabrera is not 100 percent, according to mlive.com.

Cabrera was removed from Wednesday's game after hitting a go-ahead home run, which raised some eyebrows among fans and reporters. Manager Jim Leyland admitted after the game that he would not have removed Cabrera if he was fully healthy. "He's not 100 percent by any means. He's not moving real good. We can see that. We just felt like, in talking with him, that it was the thing to do," Leyland said. 

Cabrera is hitting .359/.453/.668 in 395 at-bats. 

Indians outfielder Michael Brantley reached base four times Wednesday against the Tigers.

Brantley picked up two doubles and a single, going 3 for 5 during the game. Brantley also walked. Despite being on base four times, Brantley only scored one run. Brantley is hitting .283/.336/.394 in 396 at-bats. 

After knocking in his 100th run Tuesday against the Indians, Tigers slugger Miguel Cabrera became just one of six players in baseball history with 100 RBI in 10 straight seasons, according to Elias.

The other five to accomplish the feat dating back to 1901 are Lou Gehrig, Jimmie Foxx, Alex Rodriguez, Al Simmons and Albert Pujols.

"Nothing surprises me that that guy does," Tigers manager Jim Leyland said, per MLive.com. "I hate to say that I take him for granted, but we've been together quite a while now. He's awful good. Everybody knows that."

Mariners rookie shortstop Brad Miller has committed six errors and owns a .957 fielding percentage in his first 34 games since his promotion from the minors. 

"It’s still early," Mariners acting manager Robby Thompson said, per The Seattle Times. "Yeah, there’s been some balls and plays he feels he should have made. I’m not going to sit here and say the game is speeding up on him. He moved through the system rather quickly and he’s up here. It’s kind of youth now that’s showing a little bit. All this experience he and (Nick) Franklin are getting, offensively and defensively, they’re only going to get better from it."

Cabrera went 2 for 4 in the game with an RBI double in the fifth inning. He also scored a run and is batting .361 on the year. Cabrera now has at least 100 RBI in 10 consecutive seasons. 

Tigers third baseman Miguel Cabrera returned to action Monday in a 4-2 comeback win at Cleveland. After missing four starts with an abdominal injury, Cabrera went 1 for 4 with a walk in the game. 

The 30-year-old continues to bat .359 on the season to lead the majors and has 32 homers and 99 RBI to go with the high average. 

Astros outfielder J.D. Martinez, who sprained his wrist July 26 and is on the disabled list, does not currently have a timetable to return to the lineup, MLB.com reports.

Manager Bo Porter said Martinez will do rehab work in Houston, but it is uncertain whether or not he'll need a minor league rehab assignment.

"I haven't had time to sit down with [trainer] Nate [Lucero} and map out his progress, but I know J.D.'s working hard and he'll be around the park while we're here," Porter said.

Cabrera nearly missed four staight games due to an abdominal injury, but was able to hit Sunday. He went 1 for 1 in his only at-bat. Cabrera could return to the starting lineup Monday if all goes well during batting practice.

He's hitting .360/.455/.668 in 383 at-bats. 

Mariners rookie shortstop Brad Miller has hit safely in six of his last 10 games. He's batting .256 (11 for 43) with one triple, two doubles, two RBI, four walks and seven runs in his last 10 games.

Miller tied a career-high with three hits Saturday at Baltiimore. He's tallied three hits three times and has managed 11 multi-hit games since his debut June 28.
