Yoenis Cespedes DH | NYM
Mets' Yoenis Cespedes: Unlikely to return over weekend
Cespedes (hip) is not expected to return from the disabled list over the weekend, Mike Puma of the New York Post reports.
Cespedes has been on the shelf since May 16 with a hip flexor strain. While he was able to run the bases with no issues earlier in the week, the Mets have all but ruled out a return during the Subway Series over the weekend. It was originally thought that Cespedes wouldn't require a rehab assignment, but it now sounds like he could report to a minor-league affiliate over the weekend for a brief rehab stint before rejoining the Mets.

Justin Turner DH | CHC
Dodgers' Justin Turner: Still bothered by wrist injury
Manager Dave Roberts said that he held Turner out of Thursday's lineup after noticing a lack of power in his swing during Wednesday's game due to his left wrist injury, Bill Plunkett of the Orange County Register reports.
Roberts added that it's a "day-to-day thing" with Turner and that he could be back in the starting nine for Friday's series opener against the Braves. But at the moment, Turner's left wrist continues to be an issue and Roberts didn't want to put more pressure on him with a quick night-to-day game turnaround heading into Thursday's tilt. Look for Turner to try and play Friday, but another stint on the disabled list could be looming if it's clear that his swing is still compromised.

Justin Turner DH | CHC
Dodgers' Justin Turner: Not in Thursday's lineup
Turner is out of the lineup for Thursday's matinee against the Pirates, Andy McCullough of The Los Angeles Times reports.
Turner will hit the bench for the Dodgers' getaway tilt in Pittsburgh after going 0-for-2 with three walks and two runs during Wednesday's affair. In his place, Max Muncy will man third base.

Jesse Winker DH | NYM
Reds' Jesse Winker: On base three times Wednesday
Winker went 2-for-4 with a walk, a double and a run scored in Wednesday's 6-3 loss to the Rockies.
The 24-year-old may be emerging from his slump, reaching base seven times in the last three games and picking up only his second extra-base hit in his last 16 contests. Winker's .250/.359/.327 slash line on the season is an accurate reflection of his fairly limited offensive skill set right now, and he'll need to rediscover the power stroke he teased in his big-league debut last year to become a useful fantasy asset in most formats.

Justin Turner DH | CHC
Dodgers' Justin Turner: In Wednesday's lineup
Turner (wrist) will bat third and man third base for Wednesday's game against Pittsburgh, Andy McCullough of The Los Angeles Times reports.
Turner will return to the starting lineup after sitting out Tuesday's contest due to left wrist soreness. Over 18 games this season, Turner is hitting .250 with a .660 OPS.

Jesse Winker DH | NYM
Reds' Jesse Winker: Leading off Wednesday
Winker is starting in left field Wednesday and batting leadoff against the Rockies.
Despite recent statements from interim manager Jim Riggleman that the Reds' four-man outfield rotation was ending, with Winker as the odd man out, Winker has now started the last three games and four of the last five. He continues to get on base at a decent clip (.352 OBP), albeit without any palpable power (.317 SLG).

Franmil Reyes DH | WAS
Padres' Franmil Reyes: Receives breather Wednesday
Reyes is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Braves.
Reyes has accumulated a hit in seven of his past eight games, including a 6-for-15 span with a pair of solo home runs over his previous four starts. The 22-year-old will head to the bench in favor of Hunter Renfroe in right field for the series finale.

Marcell Ozuna DH | PIT
Cardinals' Marcell Ozuna: Three-hit day against old squad
Ozuna went 3-for-4 with an RBI single and a run in a loss to the Marlins on Tuesday.
The surging outfielder got to his former Marlins squad, generating his third multi-hit effort over the first four games of June. Ozuna's bat has been blistering hot since May 21, a 13-game span in which he's hitting .487 with a double, two home runs, eight RBI and eight runs over 46 plate appearances, while also generating an eye-popping .523 wOBA.

Yoenis Cespedes DH | NYM
Mets' Yoenis Cespedes: Participates in running drills Wednesday
Cespedes (hip) was able to run in the outfield and around the bases prior to the Mets' game Wednesday, but isn't expected to return this weekend against the Yankees, Mike Puma of the New York Post reports.
Cespedes hasn't officially been ruled out for the Subway Series as the club is still discussing the possibility of his return this weekend. Manager Mickey Callaway previously stated that Cespedes will not require a rehab assignment.

Matt Carpenter DH | STL
Cardinals' Matt Carpenter: Collects three hits
Carpenter went 3-for-5 with a run scored and a strikeout in Tuesday's loss to the Marlins.
Carpenter smacked a trio of singles his first three times up, snapping a mini 0-for-11 slump over the three previous games. The 32-year-old sports a lowly .225/.333/.414 slash line, but most of that has been weighed down by a bad start. Since the end of April, Carpenter is hitting .280 with five homers and 11 doubles in 107 at-bats.
