Martin (0-2) allowed one run on two hits over two-thirds of an inning in Wednesday's 6-5 loss to the Athletics.

Martin was the victim of a walkoff single by Chad Pinder and got tagged for his second loss of the season. The right-hander has been used during the late innings but has allowed three home runs in 8.1 innings and now carries a 5.40 ERA. He and Shawn Kelley (1.80 ERA) are the likely options should Rangers manager Chris Woodward decide to replace struggling closer Jose Leclerc.

Hearn will be called up from Triple-A Nashville to start Thursday's game against the Mariners.

Hearn will step in for the spot start as expected starter Adrian Sampson threw three innings out of the bullpen Wednesday. The 24-year-old has a 4.05 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 26:10 K:BB over 20 innings through four starts for the Sounds.

Robles could receive some ninth-inning opportunities after Cody Allen was demoted from the closer role Wednesday, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

The Angels didn't officially name a replacement in the ninth inning, with manager Brad Ausmus indicating they would "use some other guys." Robles and Ty Buttrey figure to be at the top of that list while Allen will slide into a lower-leverage role to try and straighten things out. Robles has a 3.18 ERA, 0.97 WHIP and impressive 16:3 K:BB over 11.1 innings to begin the season.

Ramsey's contract was selected from Triple-A Salt Lake.

Ramsey will join the major-league club as bullpen depth. The righty posted a 3.12 ERA with nine strikeouts in eight innings pitched for Salt Lake this season. Sam Freeman was designated for assignment.

Hill was optioned to Triple-A Omaha on Wednesday.

Hill appeared in one game during his most recent stint with the big club, allowing one run on one hit and one walk while striking out three across two innings of work. Danny Duffy (shoulder) will be activated from the injured list ahead of Friday's game.

Yarbrough was optioned to Triple-A Durham on Wednesday, Josh Tolentino of The Athletic reports.

Yarbrough is likely unavailable for a few days after pitching 4.1 innings of relief in Wednesday's loss to the Royals, allowing seven runs on eight hits and two walks while striking out two, so he'll head to the minors for the time being. A corresponding move will be made prior to Friday's series opener against the Red Sox.

Junis left his start Wednesday against the Rays with a right hand contusion, Lynn Worthy of The Kansas City Star reports.

Junis is considered day-to-day after suffering the injury on a line drive up the middle. He was having a good start prior to the injury, allowing just one run on four hits in five innings, striking out six while walking two.

The hope is that Trivino (thumb) can avoid a trip to the injured list, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Trivino has been unavailable to pitch recently due to a thumb injury. The right-hander participated in soft toss Wednesday, and while he's trending in the right direction, the A's may be forced to place him on the injured list should the team use multiple relievers in Wednesday's series finale against the Rangers and require a fresh arm.

Green was optioned to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Wednesday.

Green has allowed seven runs on five hits and two walks while recording just one out over his past two appearances, so he'll head to the minors for the time being to figure things out. The right-hander compiled a 2.50 ERA and 94 strikeouts across 75.2 innings last season, so he figures to rejoin the big-league bullpen after working out some kinks. Stephen Tarpley was recalled from the minors in a corresponding move.

Yarbrough will be available in relief for Wednesday's game against the Royals, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Thanks to an off-day Thursday, the Rays don't have a need for Yarbrough to serve as a primary pitcher this week. As a result, Yarbrough likely won't be needed to cover as many innings in relief as he normally would once starter Blake Snell (toe) exits Wednesday's contest. Though Snell may have his workload monitored more carefully than normal in his returns from the injured list, manager Kevin Cash indicated the ace won't be subject to a strict pitch limit during the outing.
