Craig Kimbrel RP | KC
Red Sox's Craig Kimbrel: Blows first save Tuesday
Kimbrel allowed a run on a solo homer in the ninth inning of Tuesday's loss to the Royals. He struck out one.
Kimbrel was summoned to protect a one-run lead Tuesday but ended up suffering his first blown save of the season when Alex Gordon took him deep to tie the game in the top of the ninth. It was a rare mistake by the closer and marked just the second earned run on his ledger this season. Even the best relievers are prone to the occasional bad night, so Kimbrel's outing is nothing to worry about moving forward.

John Curtiss RP | ARI
Twins' John Curtiss: Optioned back to minors
Curtiss was optioned to Triple-A Rochester on Tuesday.
A day after being promoted, Curtiss will make his way back to Triple-A Rochester to open up a roster spot for Wednesday's starter Fernando Romero. Curtiss gave up three runs while recording only one out in Tuesday's loss in extra innings.

Jakob Junis RP | TEX
Royals' Jakob Junis: Holds Red Sox in check Tuesday
Junis allowed two runs on seven hits and a walk while striking out five over six innings in Tuesday's win over the Red Sox. He did not factor into the decision.
All things considered, Junis performed admirably Tuesday when faced with the daunting task of taking on the Red Sox at Fenway Park. He allowed seven hits on the night, with three of those coming in his final inning of work. Junis surrendered a solo homer to Mitch Moreland followed by a double to Rafael Devers and a run-scoring single to Jackie Bradley Jr. in the sixth inning. He exited after that frame with his season ERA sitting at a solid 3.29 figure. It was an encouraging bounceback performance after his six-run implosion against the White Sox last week. He'll take on the Tigers in his next start.

Jake Diekman RP | ATL
Rangers' Jake Diekman: Hit by comebacker Tuesday
Diekman suffered a bruise above his left elbow and on his back during Tuesday's game against the Indians, Jeff Wilson of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.
Diekman came on in relief Tuesday and was struck by a comebacker off the bat of Edwin Encarnacion that left him with a couple of bruises. The lefty claims he'll be fine moving forward, but it's a situation worth monitoring as the bruise on his arm could potentially cause him some discomfort while throwing. Consider him day-to-day.

Giovanny Gallegos RP | LAD
Yankees' Giovanny Gallegos: Dealing with back soreness
Gallegos (groin) is now dealing with lower-back tightness, Brendan Kuty of NJ.com reports.
Gallegos initially landed on the minor-league disabled list with a groin injury. While he's reportedly over the groin issue that forced him to open the season on the shelf, his 2018 debut is now being delayed by a back ailment. It's unclear when he'll be able to return at this point.

Eduardo Paredes RP | DET
Angels' Eduardo Paredes: Recalled from Triple-A
Paredes was recalled from Triple-A Salt Lake on Tuesday.
With Keynan Middleton (elbow) landing on the disabled list, Paredes was summoned back to the big club to offer an additional bullpen arm. The 23-year-old owns 3.00 ERA and 1.17 WHIP across six innings with the Angels this season. He should work in middle relief during his time in the majors.

Ryan Yarbrough RP | NYY
Rays' Ryan Yarbrough: Recalled from Triple-A
Yarbrough was recalled from Triple-A Durham on Tuesday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Yarbrough was summoned back to the big club to replace the injured Yonny Chirinos (forearm), who was sent to the disabled list in a corresponding move. The 26-year-old appears to be the most likely candidate to step into the rotation while Chirinos is sidelined, as he's already made a spot start for the Rays this season while six of his seven appearances for the big club have lasted longer than one inning. Yarbrough owns a 4.19 ERA across 19.1 major-league innings this season.

Casey Lawrence RP | SEA
Mariners' Casey Lawrence: Recalled from Triple-A
Lawrence was recalled from Triple-A Tacoma on Tuesday, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.
Lawrence will take the roster spot of Erasmo Ramirez (undisclosed), who was sent to the disabled list in a corresponding move. It's unclear if Lawrence will assume a long-relief role with the Mariners -- as he did during his first stint with the big club earlier in the season -- or if he'll be used as a replacement for Ramirez in the rotation. He's started in his past two appearances with the Rainiers.

Chris Martin RP | TEX
Rangers' Chris Martin: Hopes to avoid DL stint
Martin (forearm) played catch Tuesday and is optimistic that he won't require a trip to the disabled list, Jeff Wilson of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.
Forearm injuries are never something to scoff at, though the team noted that Martin is showing significant improvement. It doesn't sound like he'll be available Tuesday evening, but a return in the next couple days seems feasible.

Ricardo Rodriguez RP | TEX
Rangers' Ricardo Rodriguez: Headed to Frisco
Rodriguez (elbow) will begin a rehabilitation assignment at Double-A Frisco on Tuesday, Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News reports.
Rodriguez has been dealing with inflammation in his elbow since spring training, which eventually landed him on the 60-day disabled list. The Rangers' bullpen ranks sixth in innings pitched (107.0) and 20th in ERA (4.46), so there could be a need for Rodriguez, who got a taste of the majors last season, when he's ready to come of the DL. He's not eligible to be activated until later in May.
