The Orioles acquired Moore and right-handers Alex Hoppe and Harrison Kreiling from the Mariners on Monday in exchange for outfielder Taylor Ward, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.

The right-handed reliever has split the 2026 season between the High-A and Double-A levels, logging a 3.72 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 67:20 K:BB in 38.2 innings. Though his excellent 42.1 percent strikeout rate would normally make him a relief prospect worth tracking, Moore's stellar production comes with the caveat that he turned 26 in May and is much older than most of his peers at Double-A.

The Orioles acquired Hoppe and right-handers Harrison Kreiling and Brock Moore from the Mariners on Monday in exchange for outfielder Taylor Ward, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.

Hoppe is the only big-league-ready arm the Orioles will receive in the deal, as Kreiling and Moore haven't pitched above the Single-A and Double-A levels, respectively. A 27-year-old righty, Hoppe reached the majors for the first time in April and compiled a 5.79 ERA, 1.36 WHIP and 34:11 K:BB in 28 innings while working mostly in middle relief for Seattle. He'll likely slot into a similar role in the Baltimore bullpen.

Varland (3-4) took the loss Sunday against the Cardinals, giving up four runs (one earned) on three hits and one walk in two-thirds of an inning. He didn't strike out a batter.

The Blue Jays closer entered the game for the top of the ninth inning with the score tied 1-1, but Varland put the first three runners aboard on a free pass and two singles, before a two-out error by Luis Urias helped open the floodgates. It was the first time since June 13 that multiple runs, earned or otherwise, had been added to Varland's ledger, and he remains a perfect 24-for-24 on save chances this season with a 1.11 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 73:16 K:BB over 56.2 innings.

The White Sox acquired Brazoban from the Mets on Monday in exchange for right-handers Zach Franklin and Gabe Davis, Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reports.

Brazoban had mainly been used in a middle-relief role for the Mets this season, notching five wins and eight holds while pitching to a 2.56 ERA, 1.01 WHIP and 49:23 K:BB in 52.2 innings over 46 appearances. The White Sox bullpen is comparatively lacking in trustworthy arms, so the 36-year-old righty could have a chance at earning more higher-leverage work with his new club. Grant Taylor (2.40 ERA, 1.03 WHIP, 25.8 K-BB%) has been the White Sox's top reliever this season, but he's picked up just five saves while manager Will Venable has preferred to use him in a more versatile fireman role.

Bednar recorded his 24th save Sunday against the Cubs, allowing one walk while striking out one over 1.1 scoreless innings.

Bednar entered in the eighth inning with two outs after Paul Blackburn left runners on the corners. He induced a flyout from Ian Happ to escape the threat, then worked around a walk to Pedro Ramirez in the ninth to lock down his 24th save of the season. The veteran closer has now held the opponent scoreless in 23 of his last 24 appearances while converting 13 saves during that stretch. On the year, Bednar owns a 2.61 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 54:15 K:BB across 48.1 innings.

Blubaugh recorded his first major-league save Sunday against the Rangers, striking out one over 1.1 scoreless innings.

With five relievers, including Josh Hader, having pitched the previous night, Blubaugh was called upon with two outs and two runners aboard in the eighth inning. He escaped the jam by striking out Jake Burger before retiring the Rangers in order on just nine pitches in the ninth to secure the first save of his MLB career. The right-hander has now recorded consecutive scoreless appearances for the first time since July 1, though he has continued to miss bats throughout that stretch, compiling a 21:3 K:BB across 16 innings.

The Rangers outrighted Gonzales to Triple-A Round Rock on Sunday.

Gonzales cleared waivers and will stick around in the Texas organization after he was designated for assignment Friday. The veteran southpaw was up with the Rangers for about a week and a half, making two relief appearances and allowing one earned run on seven hits and four walks across six innings.

Munoz (5-4) blew the save but picked up the win in Sunday's 7-6 win over Minnesota. He allowed one run on two hits and a walk while striking out two over one inning.

Entering with a one-run lead in the ninth inning, Munoz surrendered a game-tying solo homer, though Seattle's offense came through in the bottom of the frame to earn him the win. Sunday marked the 27-year-old's first blown save since June 7, as he has converted 19 of 25 save opportunities in 2026. Overall, Munoz owns a 3.98 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 63:17 K:BB across 40.2 innings.

Athletics manager Mark Kotsay said Sunday that Barnett will maintain his spot in the rotation during the upcoming week, Jason Burke of Roundtable.io reports.

After coming up from Triple-A Las Vegas on July 22, Barnett entered the rotation last weekend and tossed 3.1 innings of bulk relief in a 2-0 loss to the Twins. He then handled a traditional starting role for his next appearance Thursday, limiting a red-hot Red Sox squad to three runs on four hits and one walk while striking out six over five innings. He's earned himself a more permanent stay in the rotation, even though the Athletics will get J.T. Ginn (finger) back from the 15-day injured list Tuesday. Kotsay confirmed that the Athletics won't be moving to a five-man rotation, so one of Jeffrey Springs, Jack Perkins, Jacob Lopez and Gage Jump would appear to be in line to lose his starting role.

Go began serving a 10-game suspension at Triple-A St. Paul on July 25 after he was ejected from his appearance against Columbus a day earlier when an illegal substance was found in his glove, Bobby Nightengale of The Minnesota Star Tribune reports.

The 28-year-old right-hander was making his debut for St. Paul after the Twins optioned him to the Triple-A affiliate. Go, who retains a spot on the Twins' 40-man roster, allowed four earned runs on eight hits and two walks while striking out five over four innings in four appearances for the big club prior to his demotion. He'll be eligible to return to action for St. Paul on Thursday.
