Castillo allowed seven runs on 10 hits and a walk while striking out six over six innings in a no-decision versus the Angels on Friday.

Castillo matched his season high in runs allowed, but he was still able to hang on for six innings. Six of the runs on his line came from three home runs. The poor outing pushed Castillo's ERA up to 3.21 with a 1.05 WHIP and 155:34 K:BB through 137.1 innings over 23 starts this season. He's generally been a reliable ace for the Mariners, making this look like a bump in the road rather than the start of a downward trend. Castillo is projected for a tough home start versus the Orioles next week.

Olson (1-5) took the loss Friday, allowing four runs on five hits and three walks over five innings against Tampa Bay. He struck out three.

Isaac Paredes drove in a pair with his double off Olson in the first inning, and Jose Siri followed up with a long ball in the second. That would prove to be more than enough offense for the Rays in this one as the Tigers were shut out. Olson remains with just one win in 12 appearances (nine starts) this season, but that's not all his fault. The 24-year-old righty has a 1.17 WHIP and 50:13 K:BB over 54.2 innings -- numbers that suggest there will be better days ahead.

Brown (8-7) earned the win Friday, allowing two runs on five hits and one walk over six innings against the Yankees. He struck out four.

Outside of a couple of two-out solo homers, Brown was able to keep the Yankees at bay in earning his eighth win of the season. Brown has now gone exactly six innings and has struck out exactly four batters in each of his last three outings. While the three consecutive quality starts are promising, fantasy managers would love to see his K/9 rate move closer to the 10.63 he posted over the first half of the season as opposed to the 6.67 he's maintained over his most recent stretch.

Turnbull (neck) had his rehab assignment transferred to Triple-A Toledo on Friday.

The right-hander made a couple rehab starts for High-A West Michigan, most recently covering three innings with two runs allowed and four strikeouts. He's been cleared to jump up the ladder to Toledo, which leaves Turnbull just one step away from a return to the majors. He got off to a rough start in his return from Tommy John surgery (7.26 ERA), but he figures to get another chance to prove himself in the Detroit rotation, likely bumping aside Joey Wentz once he's deemed ready for activation.

Clevinger (4-5) allowed four runs (three earned) on eight hits and a walk over five innings Friday, striking out two and taking a loss against Cleveland.

Clevinger gave up a pair of runs through four innings before serving up a homer to Andres Gimenez in the fifth. Clevinger threw 9.2 shutout frames over his previous two starts. Including Friday's loss, he's posted a 2.37 ERA over his last six outings. Clevinger will carry a 3.72 ERA into his next matchup, which is projected to be at home against the Yankees next week.

Allen (5-4) allowed two runs on four hits and four walks over six innings Friday, striking out five and earning a win against the White Sox.

The only damage against Allen came in the third inning, a nice turnaround after he'd been tagged with nine runs and four homers in his previous two outings before Friday's quality start. However, the four walks tied his season high. The 24-year-old rookie dropped his season ERA to 3.65 with an 85:32 K:BB through 86.1 frames. Allen lines up to face the Blue Jays at home next week.

Rangers manager Bruce Bochy said Friday that Eovaldi (forearm) will be out for another 2-3 weeks, Evan Grant of the Dallas Morning News reports.

Bochy had previously expressed optimism that Eovaldi would be able to return from the 15-day injured list when first eligible next weekend, but the 33-year-old right-hander just resumed throwing on flat ground and still has a lot of hurdles to clear in his recovery from a forearm strain. He's now tracking more toward a late August return.

Astros manager Dusty Baker said Friday that France is being moved to the bullpen only temporarily, Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports.

France will be available in relief as a piggyback option Sunday behind Jose Urquidy (shoulder), who is returning from the 60-day injured list to start the Astros' series finale with the Yankees. Even though France will move to the bullpen this weekend, the Astros seem willing to roll with a six-man rotation for at least a portion of the stretch run. The 28-year-old France has delivered a sharp 2.85 ERA through 91.2 innings (15 starts) this season with Houston.

Keuchel will make his Twins debut in a start Sunday versus the Diamondbacks, Do-Hyoung Park of MLB.com reports.

Keuchel could get a long look in the Minnesota rotation as Joe Ryan spends at least a few weeks on the IL while recovering from a lingering groin strain. It's hard to know what to expect from Keuchel as a fantasy streaming option, but the veteran left-hander had pitched to an impressive 1.13 ERA with 28 strikeouts across 32 innings (six starts) for Triple-A St. Paul since inking a minor-league contract with the Twins on June 22.

Astros manager Dusty Baker confirmed Friday that Urquidy (shoulder) will return from the 60-day injured list and start Sunday versus the Yankees, Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports.

J.P. France is set up for piggyback relief duties and will likely stay in the Astros bullpen moving forward. Urquidy surrendered five earned runs on nine hits over five innings in his final rehab start last Sunday at Triple-A Sugar Land, but he seems fully recovered from the bout of shoulder inflammation that sent him to the injured list in early May.
